Each three hour session costs $33, and includes tips from a qualified instructor with boards and life jackets provided. 25.01.2022 It's almost a wrap for 2020!! Thanks to AWYC members, friends and families who recently joined our combined final Club championship race for the year, Christmas gathering and (delayed) 2019/2020 sailing season awards presentation to acknowledge the achievements of these AWYC sailors: Aaron Pimm, Andy Makin, Ian Howsam, John Demeo, Jozsef Quigley, Ken Woodman, Mark McMillan, Phil Clements, Riordan McMillan, Sierra Harrison, Terry Caldwell, Tom Edinborough, Wes Ward and Joel Dougherty. Special mention to Wes Ward who also received the Club person of the year for his contributions. Here's some pics from a fun day. We look forward to more sailing fun and friendships in 2021.

25.01.2022 This time a year ago we were gearing up for the start of Sail Country 2019! We were so sad to cancel the 2020 event. Thanks to everyone who has sailed in, supported and volunteered for Sail Country since 2014. We hope you are well. Please keep safe and healthy. 23.01.2022 Come join us this summer for the OutThere Sailing #outtheresailing Experiences for young people aged 12 to 17 years - and their friends! We provide windsurfer boards that convert to stand up paddle boards - and you can learn to do both over 3 hours from our experienced instructors - all for only $33! 22.01.2022 There's lots of elections in the air right now, including Commercial Club Albury- a generous sponsor of AWYC. Best wishes to Vice President, Jim Maher who is standing for re-election. Jim has regularly visited AWYC to represent The Commercial Club, welcoming visitors to Sail Country and volunteering on course boats during the regatta.

18.01.2022 AWYC is suspending training and racing activities scheduled for Saturday 29 Feb and Sunday 1 March 2020 due to advice from WaterNSW of a red alert for blue-green algae in Lake Hume: https://www.g-mwater.com.au/news/bga We are super disappointed but have made this decision to help ensure the safety and wellbeing of AWYC members, guests and volunteers.

16.01.2022 Due to an ongoing red alert for blue-green algae in Lake Hume, scheduled AWYC training and sailing activities for this weekend are postponed. NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS - AWYC is a beautiful and peaceful place, so head on out for some relaxation this weekend. If you are free on Sunday, say hello to AWYC Juniors who will be painting a mural on the shipping container from 1pm. What will they create? Bring along a picnic and watch the artists at work!

Since 2014 hundreds of wonderful members from AWYC have volunteered alongside Naval Cadets, Coastguard and members of visiting sailing Clubs to bring the annual Sail Country regatta to life. What an incredible effort! Thank you for your generous spirit. We're happy to confirm that programs are going ahead, with COVID safe arrangements in place. Tackers 1 kicks off on Monday 4 January, and OutThere standup paddle board and windsurfing sessions for teens are scheduled for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoon. 03.01.2022 Mental gymnastics was the name of the game at AWYC yesterday. The club hosted new environment and outdoor education students at Charles Sturt University for their annual orientation day. While they couldn't get active in the water due to the red alert for blue-green algae, they did enjoy the beautiful club grounds and views over Lake Hume.

Sailing schools were cranking from Monday 6 January, with the new OutThereSailing program for youth joining the ever popular Tackers and Sailing Dinghy courses.Thanks to the wonderful volunteer instructors who made these courses possible: 3 x OutThere experiences for 12-17 year olds who tried out standup paddle boarding and windsurfing; 2 x one week Tackers 1 sessions for young sailors starting out; and a 1 week Better Sailing course for adult dinghy sailors.
