23.01.2022 AUTUMN, May 2020, by Virginia Sada York Curled cat of contentment. Fires far away. Memories. ... Emblazoned in the mind. But less scent of fear and adrenal reactivity now. A new time. A great pause. As chill winds blow The bursting tree dahlias Declare their pink joy. As happy bees sing A song of unison There is harmony in lavender love. As our new rolling puppies Yap and snarl and frollick at life, There is, Strangely, Peace. You and I nestle and settle. As I calm, You calm. We calm, And let winter winds do their frenzied dance, Above us. I bake us bread And stir us soup For nourishing the frazzled edges of our life. We warm with friendly crackling flames each night. Now the transforming seasonal fire Is colour glowing Red poinsettias, Pink dahlias dancing, Yellow daisies shining, Purple lavender and crimson bouganvilleas entwined. The garden is on fire with love and with new life.

19.01.2022 I planted 4 apples way down near the creek a few years ago. I read they like frost and being near a creek. Tick I have both of those down the hill. And now they have suprised me and flourished! Baby apples emerging on one, and all trees going well. 18.01.2022 HERBS ARE FOR HEALING I want to encourage you to use the herbs in your garden to look after your body, mind and spirit. We can have all sorts of gifts in our immediate gardens. In my case I am creating a blend of sage, yarrow and lemon balm, all of which are growing prolifically in my garden. When I tune in, I realise these are EXACTLY what I need to treat myself right now! I have intentionally planted medicinal as well as culinary herbs all my adult life - sharing a pic of feverfew which is such a useful herb and easy to grow. Are you letting in herbs as a support to your immune system, health issues, or as a balm to your mind and spirit? Happy to talk if this path calls you.
