25.01.2022 Alcheringa Sunshine - just a bite....

25.01.2022 Sunsets, peace, wood fires and snow. It's all here at Alcheringa Alpine Retreat.

25.01.2022 An eventful few days here at Alcheringah in the snowy Snowy Mountains! We are now in our 4th day of the largest snowfall ever here at Ingebirah, south of Jindabyne at 1300 m. The power went out for 2 1/2 days but is thankfully back on and all is well. Our lovely guests, Paul, Aey, Ella and Jaxon...had their own on-snow experience with snowboards and our toboggan, but spent two nights dining by candlelight and playing boardgames...thank goodness for Scrabble! A very eventful holiday for sure! Here are a couple of pics... PS: Alex our Pyrenean had a wonderful time...he spent the next day searching for the children after the family left! Lol

25.01.2022 A wonderful and inspirational place to create art or photography....

19.01.2022 The Magnificent endings to Alcheringa's summer days....and always cool and peaceful at night...Book now for your relaxing getaway to the magnificent part of Australia, that is unique...the Snowy Mountains.

17.01.2022 Molly's newest friends....Some happy recent guests here at Alcheringa on a nice snowy day....with the snowman

16.01.2022 Just to advise....our small B & B retreat is, according to Stayz.com.au, a five star "Exceptional" property. That's the top rating...even better than "Excellent" or "Wonderful"! We have 43 five star reviews...yes, 43! We are open for winter, some school holidays this year...but we are closed for Christmas 2020. We take two adults or a couple with UP to two small children: Two couples in the same party is okay as well. Have a look at what we have to offer here in the country....and remember...we are "Exceptional"!

14.01.2022 Winter is on its way....get in early...it's comfy and cosy inside...

14.01.2022 Thankyou Heather and Jan, the chef extraordinnaire, for a fabulous birthday dinner last Monday night and Tuesday night....just marvellous! Jan and Heather own the Merrystreet Bar and Cafe on the south coast at Kioloa. It's simply scrummy food!!

12.01.2022 Our lovely little 5 star B & B out the back of Jindabyne, surrounded by wildnerness, is still open for the winter season 2020 and beyond. We only take 4 people max anyway! We, as seen in my photo, have snow often on the property in winter...being at 1300 m altitude. You will find us on Air B&B or HomeAway/Stayz. Or...send me a personal message on Messenger if you would like to come and stay with us. Take-away food will be available in Jindabyne. Although Molly, our beautif...ul Pyrenean passed away we now have Alex 'the Great' pyrenean with us now! And Alex loves children just as much as Molly did! Just to remind everyone - we only have two bedrooms...both containing queen sized REALLY comfortable beds. The main bedroom also has a single bed in it as well. And, the large ensuite bathroom is shared between the two bedrooms. We have fresh spring water and there is also a microwave and breakfast/coffee station. Naturally, double glazing and a roaring wood combustion fire goes without saying! cheers everyone. See more

12.01.2022 We enjoyed a wonderful winter season this year and THANKYOU to all who came to stay. We very much enjoyed your company. A few toboggan rides, several bonfires beneath the starry night skies and although a late start to the season, lots and lots of lovely snow. We are now CLOSED until school holidays next year. So...until then...enjoy the delights of spring

11.01.2022 Spring is just around the corner, even though the snow season still keeps on until the October long weekend. The snow on the main range and in the ski resorts is fabulous this year. Come on down and take a look and have a play before it all fades away on a spring bluebird day

10.01.2022 'Alcheringa Rain' in a nutshell... www.alcheringaartist.com.au to be released 2021

07.01.2022 A wonderful experience, even in Spring and Summer in the rainshadow of the Snowy Mountains. :-)

05.01.2022 Perhaps someday, spring. Heartland

04.01.2022 Your hosts, Toni Cary and Clinton Starr. Finalists for the 2018 best new business Superstar Award, in Jindabyne.

04.01.2022 Come stay with us this winter...see the snow and enjoy the peace of our beautiful surrounds; soak in the fresh mountain air of a 1300 metre altitude, and, in the evening, snuggle by a crackling warm fireside; AND come meet our beautiful big puppy, Alex the Pyrenean mountain dog! He's always ready for a big hug!

03.01.2022 Autumn snowfall you just never know what to expect at Alcheringa Alpine Retreat! Xxxx

02.01.2022 From this...to THIS! In one week! Yes, it's still autumn here folks...but...up on the mountains tops; Perisher, Charlotte Pass, Guthega, Thredbo...there is over 65cm of beautiful May SNOW! Come on down!
