20.01.2022 Interesting article questioning RICE (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation) to aid an injury. Swelling is a body's natural response to get blood flow to an injured site, bringing with it healing hormones and taking away toxins. Icing the site might bring temporary pain relieve but may inhibit this healing process. Similarly, a gentle massage with lymphatic drainage techniques should also boost the healing response.
