We've teamed up with our friends (and legendary hospitality pros here in Melbourne) from @oster_eatery to bring you a special by head chef Nicola Romano - Porchetta! We know you'll love it, just as much as we love Oster! They're also giving us their wine made in collaboration with Petronio wines (so many of our favourites featuring this week!) - a Barbera/Nebbiolo blend, matching beautifully with the Porchetta. We're enjoying the start... of Spring (even though we only really got a tease of the sunshine and warmth that lays ahead) and we've put on some wonderful new dishes. 21.01.2022 You've seen Basque Cheesecake, but you've never seen it like this before! The newest cake on the Al Dente block is our Baked Yoghurt Basque is made with thick greek yoghurt, and has a moreish balance of sweetness and tang from lime zest. This little treat features on our Long Weekend set menus, or you can buy it by the slice on our Cookaborough menu. If you're watching the Grand Final this weekend, we've got your dinner sorted! 09.01.2022 On the iconic Hardware Lane in Melbourne's CBD, stands The Hardware Club, a bustling and vibrant Italian osteria churning out inventive, delicious dishes. the team uses techniques traditional, and not so traditional, to make some of Melbourne's best Italian. Our very own chef Andrea met chef Nicola Dusi a few years ago at a collaborative event with Diego Rossi, and they bonded over their love of cooking. We visited the team just a couple weeks ago to pick up some dinner, an...d we've picked two great dishes to feature on this week's Al Dente Cookaborough menu. Their Bucatini Amatriciana Croquettes are made with a flavoursome guanciale bescamela and delicious rich Amatriciana. And our absolute favourite, the Bottarga Dip with Charred Sweet Peppers... For those of you who have tried our pasta before, you'll know chefs Andrea & Davide are the masters of pasta, and with the help of the ICCI and the True Italian Taste Network, Bruno Fine Foods and some other wonderful sponsors, Andrea and Davide will go LIVE next Wednesday night, the 22nd of September.
