25.01.2022 We cannot wait to meet our 2021 Blue Group friends at our Play Dates tomorrow!
24.01.2022 As part of our ongoing dedication to improving the lives of all children through a love of play and a love of learning, were very excited to be participating in the Great Book Swap 2020, supporting The Indigenous Literacy Foundation. The Indigenous Literacy Foundation aims to provide books to children in remote Indigenous communities and weve set a fundraising goal of $100 to help. The process to be a part of this fundraising initiative is very simple:... - Throughout the next two weeks, bring in your old books from home that youre happy to donate. You can place these in the collection boxes in each of the Kindy rooms. - During the week of 30th August to 4th September, you can buy a donated book for a gold coin a great way to renew your childrens libraries with new and exciting books and raise some money at the same time. We look forward to your support in raising some money for a very worthy cause.
23.01.2022 Dont forget that Wednesday 2nd September is Early Childhood Educators Day! Although we appreciate them everyday, this is an important day where we celebrate how many lives our incredible educators influence, the foundations they nurture, the knowledge they impart and the care and support they provide children and their families. Join us to make this day one to remember! If you are able to take some time to write a small card of gratitude, or perhaps ask your child to draw their educator a picture, it would be greatly appreciated!

18.01.2022 Although we appreciate them everyday, tomorrow is a special day to acknowledge the Early Childhood Educators who are part of our Alderley Kindy team. Our team is the backbone of our kindergarten, without them we wouldnt have the incredible kindergarten program and environment that we are so fortunate to provide our children and families. This year is an extra special ECE Day as we are also going through Assessment and Rating with the Department of Education tomorrow. Its a chance for us to make visible our educational program and practice and celebrate our journey of continuous quality improvement in all seven areas of the National Quality Standards. Happy Early Childhood Educators Day to all of our colleagues, thankyou for making a difference everyday!

05.01.2022 Our BG2 friends have been so intrigued by our recent possum friend. We brainstormed and voted on a name, with Tippy being the most popular. We also discussed how we could fundraise to purchase a possum box for our furry friend (with some great suggestions of losing our baby teeth and take bottles to recycling stations!) Lucky for us though, the amazing Stokell family built and installed this possum box for us. Now Tippy can be safe and dry in a mango tree and watch over our Kindy friends.
05.01.2022 Tyrown Waigana, a Perth based artist and designer, has been named as this years winner of the prestigious National NAIDOC Poster Competition. His winning entry... - Shape of Land - was judged by the National NAIDOC Committee to have best illustrated the 2020 NAIDOC theme: Always Was Always Will Be. Waigana, a proud Noongar and Saibai Islander, has previously been named as one of WAs best new and emerging Indigenous artists. According to the 23-year-old, his winning entry depicts the Rainbow Serpent coming out of the Dreamtime to create this country and how we are strongly connected to it. The Rainbow Serpent is represented by the snake and it forms the shape of Australia, which symbolises how it created our lands. The colour from the Rainbow Serpent is reflected on to the figure to display our connection to the Rainbow Serpent, thus our connection to country. The overlapping colours on the outside is the Dreamtime. The figure inside the shape of Australia is a representation of Indigenous Australians showing that this country - since the dawn of time - always was, and always will be Aboriginal land, Mr Waigana added. To find out more about this years artwork and winning artist and to download a digital copy of the 2020 National NAIDOC Poster visit the NAIDOC website. Free printed copies of the 2020 National NAIDOC Poster will be available in coming months.
