20.01.2022 City of Darwin's MyDarwin vouchers have been a huge success for our local businesses. The myDarwin scheme is an online platform that provides discounts to the ...community to incentivise spending in support of local businesses. Many Territorians used the vouchers for discounts on everything from meals to new pieces of art. It's important we keep doing what we can to assist our local businesses - so we're investing $200,000 worth of funding to the City of Darwin to extend the MyDarwin voucher scheme. More than 350 local Darwin businesses are already part of it - and I want to see other Territory businesses jump on board. That's why I'm proud to announce that we will also be extending this incredibly successful initiative across the Territory. We're offering a funding pool of up to $1 million to other local governments in the NT to take part in this local business-boosting scheme. This is another opportunity for Government and Councils to work together and support our Territory businesses during this time. We are doing whatever it takes to protect as many jobs as possible through the coronavirus crisis. The Territory is the safest place in Australia because Territorians have been the best during this crisis. Being the best also means supporting Territory businesses. #territorytogether
