24.01.2022 Every year at Christmas time a Christmas Tree Comp. is held in Willunga where individuals and clubs etc. submit their works of art. The ABCC is one of the entrants. Thanks go to Kay Lane who came up with great idea of a a tree that told a Christmas Story inviting members to add theirs to it and for putting it all together. Well done Kay many thanks from the Club.

16.01.2022 Hazel and I recently drove over to Melbourne to watch some top croquet and catch up with friends . We got to see the country's best players and watched 4 of the 5 days of the Interstate Tournament. The SA Team, led by our own Jim Grindrod, played extremely well under the circumstances. Unfortunately just prior to the start, vice captain Kate Logan had to withdraw due to family reasons and on the 2nd day Jim's health took a turn for the worst, preventing him from playing any of the singles. What we saw was a wonderful performance from a united SA team. They finished 4th. and only lost to the eventual winners Victoria by 12 hoops. Earlier on Jim finished 4th. in the ACA GOLD MEDAL and wife Julie finished 11th. in the Women's Singles at her first attempt. Great effort people.

10.01.2022 The big main event in Australia is happening now in Cainlea Victoria starting with the Gold Medal event where again our fellow club member Jim Grindrod is representing SA. In the attatched photo he is all dressed up ready for the games and I'm sure that him and all the other members of squad will have best wishes from all. I will be attending the games next week so there will be more photos an info to come

07.01.2022 A short while ago the club committee decided to name court 1 the PATERSON COURT in the honour of Dean and Nancy Paterson founder members of the club. Back in 2000 they were approached by others to create a new ABCC utilizing a vacant bowling green. After a couple of years we built the the new courts. Dean was club President for a few years and Nancy was on the committee. The dedication day went of well with a good turn out of present and past members. Attached photo, hopefully I will receive more

06.01.2022 Last Wednesday we held the club annual Handycap Singles Match. The weather was kind to us, sunshine and not to hot. A round robin decided on the quarter then the semi followed by the final. The winner and runner-up playing a total of five games. Well done Charlie the champ of 2019 and Carole a close second. Thanks to Jim and Julie who gave their time running the show and acting as referees.
