24.01.2022 Under the Premier’s directions from December 1 2020, as an organisation that has a COVID safe plan we are required to have and use the QR code check-in. This will need to be scanned at training and matches. We will provide the information regarding how to access the app for easy scanning. If you don’t have a smart phone with you, or haven’t yet downloaded the app, you will be required to record your details on the paper tracing form. For parents, carers and guardians you c...an check in but if your child is there without you they must sign in on the paper form. Please support our volunteers at the club if you are asked to scan in it may take a little bit of getting used to but it will become standard practice and something we will get used to. In the meantime please respect those who ask you to register at our club and other clubs when you play away. It’s great to have cricket back let’s all do our bit and keep it on track.

24.01.2022 Due to the poor weather tonight, we have decided to do another training session on Sunday which should be much nicer weather and a beautiful day to come out and loosen up before the season starts. Training will start at 11am and run for a couple of hours so plenty of time to make it if you can't get there for 11am. Juniors are welcome! As foreshadowed over the past week, earlier today the Government of SA formally announced that community sport training and matches (indoor and outdoor) can recommence on Tuesday 1 December 2020. This is naturally great news for our participants and volunteers. At this stage we have no specific information from the Government regarding the reference last week to a modified programme of fixtures. We are continuing to seek further details on this advice and will share with you as soon as it is available. The most significant change confirmed by the Premier today was the requirement for all organisations with a COVID Safe Plan, including sporting clubs, to utilise a QR Code system to support Contact Tracing. All Clubs are required to have a COVID Safe Plan already in place and from Monday 30 November you will receive an email that includes a QR Code to print off and display in a prominent location in your club. Please ensure that you follow all instructions outlined in this email from the Government of SA. Our current understanding is that anyone attending your club (both outdoors and indoors) for training and matches must check in using the mySA GOV app to scan your club’s QR code. Alongside the QR Code a hard copy check-in must also be made available for those individuals without a mobile phone. A copy of this form can be found here. For clarity, the QR Code and hard copy check-in must be clearly visible at all venues included in your COVID Safe Plan. As the leaders of cricket in SA, we ask for your support in undertaking the following actions: - Ø Direct your club/association members and supporters to the SACA Return to Play protocols, accessible on the SACA website here, in particular the ‘one-page protocols summary’ Ø Review your club’s/association’s COVID Safe Plan and ensure compliance. Ø Ensure that your club’s QR code is printed and placed in all relevant areas, i.e. inside club rooms, change rooms and on outside facilities (i.e. nets) at all venues. Ø Share the attached ‘tiles’ which you can use on your social media channels to promote awareness of the Return to Play protocols as cricket training and competitions recommence. We recommend the ‘tiles’ also be linked to SACA’s Return to Play webpage at https://www.saca.com.au/return-to-cricket/return-to-play. Ø All attendees are expected to be familiar with SA Health’s contact tracing direction and act accordingly. Please ask your club members to visit the SA Health website to see the locations of concern. We appreciate that you will be keen to get cricket started immediately, however it remains critical that the cricket community is vigilant in ensuring that the Return to Play protocols are adhered to ensure that the risk of COVID-19 is minimised. We understand that earlier in the season some associations elected not to enforce SACA’s recommendation of a ‘no sweat on the ball’ rule. SACA believes that this recommendation is in the best interests of our cricket community, as well as the broader SA community. Whilst it is ultimately up to the governing committee of an association to determine what reasonable steps should be taken to manage this risk, SACA continues to strongly recommend that associations adopt a ‘no saliva and no sweat to the shine the ball’ rule. Whilst there has been some great news in regards to restrictions being lifted, as a community sport we are still under the restrictions that were brought in at the start of the week. Therefore there is still no training or matches. It is hoped these restrictions will be lifted Dec 1. 14.01.2022 This Saturday the 17th kicking off at 12 pm we will be having a BBQ lunch and Junior presentations from the 2019/20 season. Following that, at 1:30 pm we will be having an internal T20 with, Kelley and Jordy facing off against each other. Come down and cheer our boys on as we warm-up for the start of the season. When the game has finished we will be doing our senior presentations and a BBQ dinner. ... The canteen will be open with food, drinks and raffle tickets for sale all day. Social distancing is still required, so be responsible and respect the rules while you come out and have a good time.

08.01.2022 Junior cricket started for season 2020-21 with our future stars on show. It's very exciting for the club to have our first U10s team as part of the competition. Thanks to Tarlee Simpson who is taking on the role as coach and all the parents for making this group of future Sharks possible this year. 06.01.2022 This season will be starting on the 31st of October. We will be fielding 3 Senior and 3 junior teams. B grade and C1's and C2's for the seniors.... B grade with a mixture of both 1 and 2-day games (60 overs) Both C grades will be 1-day games only. (35 overs) Juniors we will have Under 10's, 12's, 16's and Junior blasters 10's and 12's to be held on a Friday night. 16's to be held on Saturday mornings. And Junior Blasters to be held on Sundays at 11am. Training will be on Saturday at 11am this week. With a week off for the long weekend then into Thursday night trainings when daylight savings kicks in. Nominations are still open for Captains and Coaches for all grades. Sometimes the physical and the mental are an ongoing battle and its hard to keep swimming without a good support network. Fortunately, we are blessed at this club to have a solid group of members who support each other on and off the field. 03.01.2022 Junior training is ready to go We will start this week (Oct 8) with U16s who will train 5 - 6pm on Thursdays. Games on Saturday mornings. Starting next week (Oct 14)will be U10s and 12s who will train 5 - 6pm on Wednesdays. Games on Friday night.... The season is expected to start Oct 30 and 31. 02.01.2022 Hi everyone. Please be advised that in line with the announcements from the Premier this afternoon all training and matches will be cancelled for the next 2 weeks. Information regarding restarting will be advised as soon as we can. Aldinga Cricket Club will continue to make the health and safety of our members and the community our number 1 priority and in doing so will follow the directions of the State Government and our cricket governing bodies in SACA and GSCA....
