15.01.2022 ALEA Sydney West invites you to join us via ZOOM for our Term 3 Professional Learning Event on Thursday September 3rd, 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM ALEA Sydney West’s popular Classroom Chats will take on a new format this year. Owing to current constraints on face-to-face meetings, ALEA Sydney West will offer our Term 3 Classroom Chats online via Zoom on Thursday September 3rd. Once again we have a wonderful group of Western Sydney educators from all primary stages (ES1-S3) who hav...e volunteered to offer a window into their classrooms’’ by sharing an aspect of their Literacy practice in online sessions. After registration, participants will have the chance to indicate their preferences for two 30 min "Classroom Chats" prior to the session. The afternoon will also include a short Virtual Tour of the ALEA website and the resources available for members and non members. A Zoom Link will be emailed prior to the session. Lucky Door Prizes will also be on offer. Proposed Classroom Chats include: Investigative Play and Writing (ES1) The A-Z of Reading Goals (ES1) Building Assessment Capable Learners in Writing - Putting Students in the Driving Seat (Stage 1) Using Descriptive Feedback to Enhance Writing (Stage 1) Providing Purposeful Participatory Opportunities for Enhanced Meaning Making in Reading (Stage 2) Westwords Authors in Residence: Inspiring Young Writers (Stage 2) Researching Skills in the Literacy block (Stage 3) Reading is Thinking: How to get your Readers Thinking!
