24.01.2022 COVID-19 crisis in Bangladesh is not over please donate generously. A $50 donation can provide foods supply for a family for a month in Bangladesh Dear brothers and sisters in Islam,... Assalam-u-Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullah Wa-barakatuhu. As we are going through a very unprecedented and challenging time- facing COVID-19, the whole world is under lock down which has severe financial impact on world’s economy. In addition to people’s health challenges and lives lost, the job loss and unemployment rate have increased significantly around the globe. While the first world countries government are trying to stimulus the economy, people of the developing countries including Bangladesh are facing real risk of starvation. You are aware that the death toll in Bangladesh is raising everyday. Middle class people have started leaving Dhaka as they don’t have job and can’t maintain daily living including paying rent. May Allah (SWT) forgive us and save the whole humanity from this calamity. Ameen. The Al Ehsan Centre is trying to raise some funds to help the poor and needy in Bangladesh. We have estimated that a $50 donation can possibly provide foods supply for a family for a month. This is an estimate, please feel free to donate more or less whatever amount you can. We are humbly requesting our community members to come forward and generously help our people back home in such critical time. We have already distributed donation made so far among the needy and vulnerable families in different districts in Bangladesh Al’ham’du’lillah. The Al Ehsan Centre has decided to continue this appeal and would like to raise more donations In’shaa’Allah with your support. As you are aware, Charity is considered the second most important act of worship after prayers. Allah(SWT) promises to recompense multiple times of what a believer spends for His sake. Tell them that there is a charity due upon them to be taken from their rich and to be given back to their poor ( Sahih Al-Bukhari). Please send your donation for COVID-19 impacted people to the account as shown below:- Bank account details : Account Name : Al Ehsan Centre Westpac Bank, Clayton branch. BSB No. 033 090 Account No. 420041 May Allah(SWT) accept your Sadaqah and give you and your family the best rewards in this world and life hereafter. Ameen Ya Rabbul Al Amin.

As we are going through the best 10 days of the year -may Allah (SWT) allow us to take the maximum benefits from it. In addition to the Qurbani (Udhiyah) let us also try to do more Ibadah including Fasting in the first 9 days of Dhul Hijjah, Sadaqah, Dhikr, Quran recitation, Nawafil Salah and more & more Istighfar. 9th Dhul Hijjah is Yawmul Arafah. The fast on the day of Arafah has been prescribed by Rasulullah (SW) as a meritorious act. "Fasting on the Day of Arafah expiates the sins of the past year and the coming year." (Muslim) Thursday 30th July is the day of Arafah this year. We would request you to consider observing fast on that day. We all are aware that Victoria has COVID-19 restrictions in place if you live in Metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire, Stay at Home restrictions will apply. These restrictions are in response to increasing numbers of coronavirus and to slow the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).If you live in Metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire you need to Stay at Home. There are four reasons that you can leave home: Shopping for food or other essential items, to provide care giving, for compassionate reasons or to seek medical treatment ,for exercise (applies to outdoor exercise, and with only one other person or members of your household) Work or study, if you cannot work or study from home. Otherwise, you must stay home. From Wednesday 22 July, when you leave home you must wear a mask or face covering. A $200 fine apply for not wearing. Our community has responded very well & are following the Government restrictions. We humbly request our bothers and sisters -Eid day is not exception to the above restrictions and continue to follow the restrictions as usual. Eid Mubarak to you and your family.
