12.01.2022 This is the last post to my series of What does beauty mean to you quotes ... This post has taken me over a year to write as I find it difficult to summarise the impact that this incredible man has made on my life. Gwyn Williams is the founder of Zen Thai Shiatsu and I was lucky enough to be a student of his. When I asked Gwyn What does beauty mean to you?.. As usual he replied with the most beautifully fitting words.. Beauty to me is revealed when we take time to really... recognise what is truly in front of you.. when we really take time to do this beauty is seen everywhere as Gods expression. I’m not involved physically as much as I would like to be within the Zen Thai community yet I feel Gwyn’s strong guidance often, despite not being in his physical world. Previous to my training with Gwyn I had experience studying a wide range of modalities, from very clinical training to more esoteric type frameworks of study. The gold that I really took from my time with Gwyn was finding a balanced and truely holistic way of treating someone, through his teachings and learning his core philosophies I was gifted the ability to connect with my clients on a far deeper level. Given that my previous studies were quite diverse with very different ideas on how to treat a client, I often experienced inner conflict trying to understand my own belief systems. After my training with Gwyn, it honestly felt as though the language of spirituality and science had suddenly become one rather than two differing ideas I had to choose between. When we talk about pivotal moments in life, this was a big one for me .. being immersed in the rich knowledge of Chinese medicine married with the encouragement to feel, be inquisitive and trust intuition.
