15.01.2022 Hello and welcome to my first post on my new Artisan Jewellery page. Thank you for visiting. As this is a new site for me, I will be starting to add more information and images of my jewellery on a continuing basis. In this first post, I would like to share with you just a little background about how I got into jewellery making. I started to become interested in making individualised handmade jewellery around 14 years ago when I was having difficulty finding a unique neckl...ace and earring set that I really liked to attend a wedding. This search initially sparked my creative involvement, inspiring me to start designing a set of jewellery that said this is me, and one that I really enjoyed wearing. My background is in 3D Product Design, so the move to continuing on to study Gold and Silver-smithing came reasonably naturally. I started to create some jewellery pieces for myself and friends... Many designs and jewellery pieces later, I am still active in designing and creating my own evolving individual jewellery style. The desire is growing for me to continue to create more meaningful moments of memory and substance in my life and in the lives of others. By creating individual handmade jewellery, I am able to emphasise the value of aesthetics to make objects of lasting quality and visual charm. Creating for me is a way to express my own voice and style, and to share and inspire others with just a little glint of beauty, bringing pleasure and enjoyment to the wearer of the jewellery piece. In designing jewellery, I am endeavouring to express my deep respect and love of nature by creating jewellery inspired by our natural world. By exploring the relationships the viewer has between their own world and the jewellery piece, I encourage people to find meaningful connections and enjoyable experiences with these small objects of wearable beauty. My aim is also to celebrate and honour the feminine spirit of all women. By using the qualities and energies of natural gemstones and precious metals in my jewellery, I aim to help reconnect us to the essence of our own individual grace and precious internal beauty. Please Note: Each piece of my artisan jewellery is a handmade one-of-a kind piece. As an artisan jeweller, I use my skills and abilities to create distinctive jewellery that appeals to women who appreciate individuality in their jewellery.
