25.01.2022 Do you have an old family story to tell? Our Stonnington History Centre has a Family History Club, where like-minded history buffs can get together monthly and ...talk all things ancestry. Whether you're a budding historian or an experienced family researcher, you're sure to learn something new. You might even meet a distant relative! Learn how to start tracing your lineage at the Family History for Beginners session on November 6: https://bit.ly/3oGrfTo : A gathering of the Halligan and Pattinson families from East Malvern at Scotchman's Creek, 1927. The families lived in Union Street, Armadale and Bowen Street, Chadstone.

I’m not going to be part of wasting ratepayers’ money telling our residents that they should not be eating meat or driving cars, using gas heaters or outdoor barbecues or that they should feel ashamed for going on a holiday, Cr Lew said.
07.01.2022 Many residents have contacted me in opposition to this proposed development at 173 Burke Road, Glen Iris. I can now confirm that this planning application will be refused by Council Officers under delegation once the advertising period expires on 4 October. The matter will not come before Council. Thank you to all residents who have been in contact and made your concerns known.
06.01.2022 Our kids need to be back in the classroom with their friends, not staring at a screen all day. This must be the last day of remote learning. Let’s get our kids safely back to school for all of term 4!
02.01.2022 The City of Stonnington voted last night to join with Chapel Street businesses in advocating for retail and hospitality businesses to open up right now, if they are staffed by double vaccinated people, and are serving double vaccinated customers. If not now when? In this world of risk, where COVID has become endemic what more can a person do to protect themselves and their community than get vaccinated? We also urged the state government to release a plan, linked to vaccinati...Continue reading
