13.01.2022 This is brilliant.

09.01.2022 Hi Friends, I hope you are well this beautiful Saturday. I wanted to share this info that was sent to me by a colleague who has a friend that works at Dr. Negre...ne’s (spelling?) at the main hospital on the island. It was in Spanish so I’m going to share the translation here: The Chinese medical establishment claim to now understand the behavior of the COVID-19 virus thanks to autopsies they have carried out. This virus is characterized by obstructing respiratory pathways with thick mucus that solidifies and blocks the airways and lungs. They have discovered that in order to be able to apply a medicine, you have to open and unblock these airways so that the treatment can be used to take effect. However, all of this takes a number of days. Here are their recommendations for what you can do to safeguard yourself in the meantime: 1. Drink lots of hot liquids - soups, teas, coffee, warm water. In addition, take a sip of warm water every 20 minutes because this keeps your mouth moist and washes any virus that has entered your mouth into your stomach where the gastric juices can neutralize it before it can get to the lungs. (Note: if you’re one of my students, you’ve often heard me suggest to you to avoid eating and drinking cold foods/ drinks as this creates more work for the digestive system when it already has much to manage.) 2. Gargle with an anti-septic in warm water like vinegar, salt or lemon - every day if possible. 3. The virus attaches itself to hair and clothes. Any detergent or soap will kill it, but you must take a bath or shower when you get in from the street. Avoid sitting down anywhere and go straight to the bathroom or shower, (leaving your shoes off at the door). If you cannot wash your clothes daily, hang them in direct sunlight which also neutralizes the virus. (You can leave your shoes out in the sun too for the same reason.) 4. Wash metallic surfaces very carefully because the virus can remain viable on these for up to 9 days. Take note and be vigilant about touching handrails and door handles etc. Within your own house, you can make sure that you are keeping those clean and wiping them down regularly. 5. Don’t smoke! 6. Wash your hands thoroughly using any soap that foams. Do this for 20 seconds (as instructed by CDC). 7. Eat fruits and vegetables. Try to elevate your Zinc levels not just your Vitamin C levels. 8. Animals do not spread the virus to people - it’s person-to-person transmission. (Unless someone sneezed on your pet and you hug it, I’m guessing...) 9. If you feel any discomfort in your throat or a sore throat coming on, attack it immediately using the above methods. The virus enters the system this way and remains for three or four days within the throat before it passes into the lungs. All the best everyone...take care of yourself and pass this information along if you wish. I’ve heard similar things from different sources and it makes sense to me. Many of you who have taken my classes know I always recommend drinking boiled water, but not only boiled - ideally warm-hot temperature for these reasons. I would add, go outside and do some Qigong exercise with the sun shining on your face and skin for at least 15 minutes a day for a dose of Vitamin D. Lastly, a deep bow of respect and gratitude for all the doctors, nurses, EMT’s, and medical staff who are working tirelessly to provide care to the sick during this epidemic. And also to: the farmers, grocery stores, restaurants who continue to supply us with food and nutrition while we’re in lockdown. Take good care, stay safe and positive, friends. There is a lot to be grateful for in these interesting times...and here’s one: the continuing saga of Mother and Baby just around the corner from us. Note we kept a respectful social distance from each other ! With Love and Gratitude, ~ Daisy

04.01.2022 Enjoying Bruce Fertman's three day workshop. The head balances beautifully, just like a mobile. Every part affects another.
