The first 7 rounds are scheduled to be One-Dayers leading up till Christmas and the rounds beyond the New Year are yet to be confirmed. 19.01.2022 What a big weekend in cricket for the Vikings. 3 out’ve 4 grades bringing home the win. 2 Michelle’s & a hat-trick to top it off! Our first are on the board after a match winning 42 by Bailey Forssman. James Syddall also cleaned up taking 5/12. Seconds also notched up their first win of the season after setting Modewarre 216 to chase down. Naveen Rajakaruna was superb with 62. Liam Letih took his first 5 wicket haul for the club.... The Thirds are undefeated this season after chasing down 129 in the 44th over. Campbell Hose’s hat-trick was the highlight of the day. Our Fourths unfortunately couldn’t chase down Geelong West’s 162. Jai Ash lead the run scorers with a quick fire 34.

12.01.2022 It was a day of mixed results for Round 2! There was plenty of highlights but none better than Steve O’Neill smacking 141 runs in our 3rds. Our first’s went down in the last over of the day. Jack Clapham did what Jack Clapham does best and belted a quick fire 71 from 45 balls to bring the game back in reach. Unfortunately that wasn’t enough to get the win. ... The Second XI suffered a 5 wicket defeat. Praneeth DeSilva was outstanding with figures of 3/18 from 9 overs. Our Thirds XI had a great win by 30 runs. As mentioned, Steve O’Neills 141 set up the game and our bowlers did the rest. Tim Harcombe took 3/46 from 7 overs. Unfortunately the 4ths lost by 6 wickets to a strong South Barwon side. Up and coming junior Will Rodda showed his talent with an unbeaten 39* Geelong Advertiser / Mark Wilson

10.01.2022 Not the finish we wanted to go into the break. All 4 grades were defeated. Highlights from the day was James Syddall's 63* in the First XI. Jamison Sherman taking 3wickets in the Second XI. Kane Thornburgh also had a day out taking 4wickets and smacking 37 with the bat. Cal Gillet snared 3 wickets in one over in the Fourths XI.

06.01.2022 Our First's were set a target of 150 to win. Jack Clapham and James Syddall both took 2 wickets a piece. Bailey Forssman's 28 wasn't enough to secure the win. Second's came agonisingly short of Bell Parks total of 128. Jamison Sherman was the pick of the bowlers with 3 wickets to his name. Naveen Rajakaruna top scored with 37* closely followed by Kane Thornburgh with 29 and a few big sixes. Our Thirds secured the win after Terry Siluca's 49, set Bell Park a total of 135. Ve...nkata Saripalli was back with a match winning 3 wickets off his 4 overs. Our Fourths were denied a win in a close finish. Sam Welsh, Jono White and Harrison Whyte all took 2 wickets each. But it was gun junior Sam Welsh who stole the show with yet another 50* to his name. Well batted sam!

Our second’s had a strong win by 2 wickets. Naveen Rajakaruna was dominant in taking 4 wickets. ... The Third’s went down by 6 wickets. Tayne Hewson contributed with a innings high 38. 05.01.2022 **COACHING APPOINTMENT** The Vikings would like to introduce Michael Dunn as our batting coach for season 2020/2021. Michael joins us from Murgheboluc where he spent the last fews years as a batting coach. Before that Michael played at East Belmont where he is a Life Member. Michael played 255 games and made a total of 8648 Runs @ 36.4 with a highest score of 220*. In his time at East Belmont he also achieved 3 Barry McMahon Medals and 3 Premierships to go with it. ... That confirms our coaching team for season 2020/2021 with Michael joining Head Coach, Jack Clapham & Assistant Nelson Silvi. #GoVikings
