Our 3 yr old program for 2021 will be 12 hours per week (over 3 days) and is ran by a Bachelor qualified Early childhood educator.... Children who turn 3 before April 30th are eligible to attend. 25.01.2022 Alexandra Kindergarten has a wonderful team of educators who are very passionate about the centre and the children who attend there. The centre is managed wonderfully by the volunteer Committee of Management who exercise control over the day-to-day operation of the kindergarten. Generally made up of members of the kinder community (mums and dads of enrolled children) their roles on the committee include: Employment and Management of Staff, compliance with all standards, equip...ment purchases, fundraising, social functions, setting fees, maintaining the grounds and building etc. The new Committee of Management is elected at the Annual General meeting which will be held on November 16th @ 7pm. We would love to expand our Committee of Management by inviting members of the Community to join our mums and dads to volunteer for any of the Executive Positions on the Committee. 21.01.2022 For those of us who are running low on supplies for the children, here's your last chance. There is some paint, powdered paint, goodie craft bags and books for your holiday fun. BYO containers or use the small ones supplied, take a few scoops of each colour (powder), take home and mix a spoonful with water and it turns into paint! Please be mindful of others when taking your scoops

18.01.2022 Christmas Hamper! We would love all families to make a donation to our hamper please (food is always a good idea, Christmas cake, shortbread etc- please no more chocolate or wine) All money to be returned by THIS Friday Dec 11th. Winners will be drawn on Monday.

17.01.2022 Plants plants plants! We have so many plants been donated to kinder by Sally's mother in law, Lynne. These are for sale through the main gate and behind the next gate, during kinder hours. Please support our kinder and use this amazing weather to add to your garden!

14.01.2022 An article in yesterdays Alexandra Standard about our kindergarten stated that 'Three year old kinder will be available for free from next year'. This is not correct. Just to clarify- Government funding is provided to kindergarten services to help keep the costs low for children attending. The government funding only partially covers the running cost of an early childhood centre and parent fees make up the difference. Alexandra kindergarten is part of the 2021 rollout for Funded 3 yr old kinder and while the funding does help, parent fees are still necessary.

13.01.2022 Do you have Playgroup age children? Would you like to be able to attend Playgroup in Alexandra with your child? The Alexandra Playgroup AGM is on this Thursday 26th November at 8pm via Zoom to elect their 2021 Committee. For Playgroup to operate they require a full committee. Positions that require filling for the 2021 committee are President, Secretary and more general members. 13.01.2022 Seedling Stall-this week Monday 12/10 , Tuesday 13/10, Thursday 15/10 and Friday 16/10. The children have created wonderful seedling plants all potted up ready to go. They will be available to purchase from the back gate during kinder hours. Gold coin donation for each seedling purchased.

10.01.2022 Do any of our kinder families have the ability to donate a trailer load of wood to the Community Wood Auction ? The auction will be held Saturday 27 th June 10 am Perkins Street Alexandra .All profits from our sold trailer loads come directly back to kinder. 10.01.2022 Alex kinder is looking for donations of large mirrors, blackboards and bedside drawers for outside use. We'd also like about 8-10 round logs, only about 10cm thick by 30cm wide (ish!) for the kids to use as stepping stones. 09.01.2022 We're having a seedling fundraiser in the coming weeks! We have been given some pots and potting mix but would really appreciate some seeds if anyone has any they'd like to donate? The teachers will be planting them with the children during the sessions. Thanks so much!
