23.01.2022 * Introducing Gabi Munro * Gabi is cast in the lead role of *ULLA* What made you want to audition? I heard some of my friends talk about The Producers a couple weeks before the audition and thought Why not? This could be a fun project to do if my friends and I got in. Plus, it’s been a while since I’ve done a musical (my last one was in 2017!)... How has the journey been so far with The Producers? Playing the role of Ulla has been amazing! She is sexy, funny and very observant of what’s happening around her. It’s been great rehearsing with everyone and we all have a lot of fun. The cast, crew and I can’t wait to put on an amazing show for Perth audiences. What's a role you have always wanted to play dream role? My dream role is a very obvious choice Elphaba from Wicked. Watch Gabi and the rest of the incredible cast in The Producers, coming soon to the Regal Theatre. Tickets now on sale for strictly limited season! https://premier.ticketek.com.au/shows/show.aspx

08.01.2022 Interesting historical facts about Alexandra Theatre! The theatre was built around 1904. Technically it is the second oldest working theatre in WA. The oldest being His Majesty’s. It was named after Queen Alexandra of Denmark who was the wife of Edward VII and Empress of India and married into the British Royal family through what was effectively a married arranged by Queen Victoria. The theatre was built as an actual working theatre and was then converted to a cinema. It eventually became a TAB, then for a long period it became Humphrey's Dance Studio, then a boxing Gym, and then the circle is completed and it returns to being a theatre venue.
