17.01.2022 Are you just a little bit curious as to why Im doing this? Why would I do this? Im already really busy with a bubba, teaching gym classes and about to return to full time work so why would I put more on my plate? This is actually really easy, this is where all that down time on the train or before classes or when Im breastfeeding is used! 14.01.2022 My thoughts on a sunny Sunday while feeding Immy: Who hears the phrase ‘network marketing’ and shudders? It has such a stigma attached to it doesn’t it? That phrase makes you think of a good old tupperware party! I too was hesitant to begin with but then I started thinking how is it any different to an ordinary company? In fact, could it even be better? My day job is like a lot of people’s day jobs. Who works for a business run by a small collection of people at the top? Do ...they hire people to do work for them who hire people to do work for them who hire people to do work for them and so on? It’s a leveraged business model used the world over. How many times have you been at your day job and thought, Ugh. The person above me has next to no idea what they’re doing but is getting paid double what I do ? Or even worse, have you thought that the person above you is actually a liability that detracts from your team producing quality work efficiently? But because you’re the junior and have only been working xx years, well sorry, you can’t jump ahead even if you’re good at your job? What happened to credit where it’s due and meritocracy? Why is there a limit on the number of people at the top or in the middle or at the bottom for that matter?! We know the world is changing. Technology, demographics, property prices and so much more are rapidly shifting how, where and when people work. I’m not actually sure my job will still be a job in a few decades time? I’m not sure what I should be teaching my daughter? Maths or English or plumbing or how to use a computer/iPad or something that doesn’t even exist yet? But one thing I do know is that relationships are powerful. Human connection and interaction are meaningful. They have the ability to brighten your day like nothing else and are critical to healthy development. So pondering all the above and much more, I thought hey, why not me? I love talking to people, I love meeting people and helping them become fitter and healthier. I love challenging and driving people to perform their best. And so, knowing I have nothing to lose and no pressure to do more than I want or can, I took the plunge into network marketing. But what I’ve realised is it’s actually not such a big plunge. Any time you’ve asked your friends, Hey, who’s your hairdresser? or Where’s the best Thai restaurant? or Would you recommend...? - that right there is network marketing! We all do it! And in a world that is changing where maybe you won’t always be able to go to a huge shopping mall to try on clothes, word of mouth is going to become pretty crucial if it isn’t already.
