23.01.2022 2020 has gone...interestingly, to put it mildly. First we have bushfires, and everyone bands together to support those affected. Then we have some floods. And now, it's a virus. Are people supporting each other? No. They're cleaning out the supermarkets and some are going so far as to rob THE ELDERLY on their way home from the allotted hour (7am-8am) set aside to ensure that they can get groceries without being in danger. We need to be calm. To support each other. I'm not usu...ally someone who gets worried by these things, but I'm starting to feel genuine fear and concern for going to the supermarket (not to mention for the general state of the world). Like everyone else, my income is also rapidly drying up, but I'm trying to stay positive about it - bring on my love for cooking and films and series and video games and MUSIC (I will also be designing my post-apocalypse outfit - I'm feeling my trench coat so far). We need to bring on the love, the support, the peace and the quiet that comes from calm and rationality. Take this time to rest and discover something new about yourself and don't overthink it! There's a sickness that can affect the elderly and immune compromised, so we're trying to stop the spread of it by staying in our homes and reducing contact with others as much as we can. Inform yourselves, take a deep breath and calm down. We will get through this.

22.01.2022 I've been a bit quiet/inactive on here lately - I spend my time these days working, chilling, and occasionally writing and playing gigs. I've decided over the last year to only play originals gigs unless I'm asked specially to do some covers (or I do one for fun at an open mic). Speaking of open mics, I’m going to be at @the_old_victoria tonight and may or may not be doing something a bit special so come along and find out. (The photo is from a gig back in November last year at the @quill_and_compass I’m not sure who took it though!)
19.01.2022 Over these last few months between my periods of apathy and complete lack of creativity, I have been SLOWLY learning how to record, mix and master music, with the eventual goal of sharing my music with you in something other than a crappy live format! As such, I’ve been recording songs in order to learn better, and have been using covers so I don’t end up hating my own music (yet). This is probably the only one that is good enough to be uploaded, and even then I had a lot of help on the mixing and mastering side of things (Corey Saber Rodwell). Let me know what you think of my acoustic version of Black Hole Sun by Soundgarden.

19.01.2022 It's almost been a month since I've posted. As one of the people lucky (or unlucky?) enough to still be earning money from a job as a waitress-turned-delivery driver, I haven't been doing much in the way of gigging or music in general (also my mental health is constantly down the toilet, thanks 'Rona ). 18.01.2022 Today, I turn 22. So far, I have spent it getting up early (7 is early for me when I didn’t go to sleep until 1 this morning because I’m an idiot), drinking coffee, and playing Borderlands 3 with my twin sister who is currently living in Japan (who got up at 5am Japan time to play video games with me).
