25.01.2022 Little ‘Clementine’ striking a pose before her Spey today. During desexing procecures we also check for any retained baby (deciduous) teeth, and can remove them if necessary. Clementine here had 2 deciduous canines out! Brave girl
24.01.2022 Cat slowing down? common but not correct. We often hear that our older patients are slowing down due to old age, however in almost all cases we have an underlying condition such as arthritis stopping them from living their best possible life. While our pets do mature mentally as they grow older and stop some of their juvenile shenanigans such as digging up the lawn they should remain active and capable of running and jumping well into their senior years. ... Cats should be physically capable of jumping on and off furniture and playing games with you Into their late teens. We can encourage physical movement by using food dispensing toys and changing the location of their food bowl so they have to move and climb around to eat. This also helps them remain lean and well muscled. Marmalade, who is a blood donor as well as a much loved little bed hog! If your cat is not up to this adventure then they may have arthritis which we can treat holistically with diet modification, medication as well as enrichment activities. Book your cat in today to help them feel like a kitten. Warm Regards, Dr Jaime Jackson

19.01.2022 We have a petite little lass to show off this week - with eyebrows on fleek to boot! From the Greyhound Rescue website: 'Hi there, I’m Nova! I’m a pint-sized young girl with the bestest eyebrows you’ll ever see. The volunteers at Greyhound Rescue think I’m cute as a button you’re sure to find me irresistible too! I’m a bit of a shy girl and I’m looking for a quiet, patient home who can work with me to help build my confidence. In the time I’ve been at kennels I’ve learned t...o start trusting humans and I’ve even been brave enough to start asking them for pats they’re pretty good, if you ask me! I’m still a bit nervous for walks though, so I’d prefer a home with a backyard that I can explore and run around in if I’m not feeling ready to face the big wide world. I wouldn’t mind sharing my house with a gentle big dog buddy either, if there’s one of them in your family maybe they can help me find my confidence. Once I learn that I can trust you, I’ll greet you with so much happiness it will melt your heart. I’ve got a playful and cheeky side too I love toys so if there are some squeaky ones at your place, I can’t wait to play with them!' What a sweetheart <3 we wish you the very best Nova!!

07.01.2022 Look at this handsome little chap we have to share this week! Meet 'Yuuki' :) From the GR website: "Hi there, I’m Yuuki! I’m a friendly boy with the sweetest face, who’s looking for some humans to lavish me with all the love and attention I deserve. I came to Greyhound Rescue in a bit of a bad way, but with plenty of TLC I’m A-OK again and on the hunt for the perfect forever home. I think it would have a backyard where I can stretch my legs, some humans who will give me all t...he pats and ear rubs I could ever dream of, and of course some tasty food! I’m not a big fan of other dogs so I think I’d prefer a home in the suburbs and one where I can fly solo but don’t worry, because once you fall in love with me, there won’t be room in your heart for anyone else!" Please share to help gorgeous Yuuki find a home
06.01.2022 Dr Tallulah-Rose has some important COVID19 points she would like our customers to read before coming in to the clinic! 1. We are only allowing a MAXIMUM of 2 people in our waiting room at any one time. We are asking our clients to be respectful of this safety measure and wait outside if the waiting room is full. 2. Further to the above, we are only allowing 1 person into the consult room at a time. 3. Please only bring yourself and your pet (where possible). We love it... when the family comes with their pet - but at the moment it is unsafe to do this. 4. Please do your best to stick to your allotted appointment time - if you turn up early, or late, it can lead to crowding out the front of the clinic. 5. We have hand sanitizer in front of the reception desk - We encourage you use it! :) Thank you all for your continued understanding and support.

01.01.2022 Tick tock- now is the time that you have to be on the ball for ticks! Recent weeks have seen an uptick in the number of animals paralysed due to paralysis ticks. Tick protection will stop Ticks spending time on your pet and injecting large amounts of toxins into your furry friends. ... The Paralysis tick is an Aussie native typically seen along the east coast of NSW and QLD. They have co-evolved with our other natives such as bandicoots who they can live on without causing paralysis. Our own special pets are not so lucky. When Dogs and Cats are exposed to the toxin it they develop hind leg weakness, changes in their bark. It can progress to breathing difficulty resulting in the need for ventilation! We treat them with anti-toxin that mops up any toxin that has not already attached to cells. Some animals do not survive and others will have life long complications. We can help you choose the BEST possible treatment to keep your pet safe right now. Give us a call or pop into the clinic today!
