25.01.2022 Very proud of this pair! Big congrats to Tash and Spock who won the 80 Intro ODE at Tamborine the other week. Love being part of their journey - a delight to coach and watching Tash's hard work pay off as they transform into a fabulous, confident partnership is just amazing to see! No short cuts or quick fixes - just the dedication and patience to put in the hard yards to make it happen. So well deserved and such a pleasure to see it all coming together!

23.01.2022 With the official confirmation that the QLD borders will open on 10 July (yay!) we are hoping to have a x/c training day at Tallebudgera that following week . Just waiting to hear back from their committee that they will be opening the course again for external hire. Watch this space.......and fingers crossed for some x/c fun

21.01.2022 And another proud coach moment! Tracey and Blaze winning at Valley and Rivers jumping. It was Blaze's first official show jumping comp and Tracey's first time back in the ring after a 30ish year break (but who's counting..)! With their polished performance you would think they've been doing it for years. Have been blown away by how far this pair have come - jumping, cross country, even dreaded dressage Tracey takes on all that I throw at her, works so hard at getting it rig...ht and gets out there and gives it a go! Pretty inspirational really Watching the transformation and progress of great little partnerships like these is what makes me just love my job!

16.01.2022 Playing with the dressage ponies.... Big thank you to Summerland Dressage Club for inviting me to run a pole work clinic for your members. A big day, thank you and well done to all the horses and riders who braved the heat to embrace some cross training Its not just jumpers that can benefit from adding in poles to their training regimes. Great for helping with suppleness, engagement, core strength, straightness, horse and rider focus, the list goes on..........as well as m...ixing things up and having a bit of fun! Hopefully I've encouraged a few more people to go out a throw the odd pole around the arena..... #poleclinic #trotpoles

16.01.2022 It’s fantastic news that Badminton 2021 is able to go ahead next May, albeit sad that it will need to take place ‘Behind Closed Doors’. With more than 250,000 spectators normally attending just on xc day alone, the crowds, the atmosphere and just sheer size of the whole week make it unlike any other event in the world! However, as disappointing as it is for all involved that there won’t be the spectators and all that goes with that, at least it IS going ahead and we can stil...l watch the horsey action on tv! And apologies for my dodgy, grainy video clip but I am very old! But wanted to try and capture a snippet of just how big the Badminton crowds are, even in the "not overly interesting galloping between the fences" bits!! 12.01.2022 An amazing opportunity for a lucky rider to own this totally genuine schoolmaster. Highly recommend Cadbury for anyone wanting to further their competition career - he does a beautiful test, cruises round 1m+ sj and schools 2* xc with ease. He is a delight to ride, knows his job and loves it!!

12.01.2022 Xc fun in the sun - I could spend every day doing this!! So nice to be able to get out and blow the cobwebs off - It’s been such a long time between xc drinks for so many, that it’s great to have a fun little training course to use to help re-establish the basics and get everyone’s xc mojo back and firing!! And a special mention to my little one armed helper who endured (without too much complaining....) watching everyone else whilst not being able to join in the fun!! (Could explain why many of the photos she took are either headless or non existent for those later in the day, sorry )

02.01.2022 Yay finally going xc schooling! Thursday 8 October - I have the Casino pony club xc course at the showgrounds booked for some training sessions. A lovely little training course for some schooling of the basics including water, ditch and skinnys! And lets face it with the recent lack of events to go to who needs any excuse to get out and just have some cross country fun! Strict number restrictions so only a couple of slots left. 02.01.2022 So fantastic to watch your clients’ hard work and training starting to pay off when they can finally get out to comps Go Tailah and Flash and Tori and Milo - two super young OTTBs having some fun jumping! The big improvements in both how they are jumping and their confidence is so awesome to see - v happy coach!

02.01.2022 Super fun day last weekend with these ladies who went brilliantly in their first xc comp and great to catch up with so many other good friends Love this event format - such a great training tool for young horses or first timers preparing for their first comps. As confidence grows around the course you can step up (or down) a height as needed. Was perfect for baby King who was somewhat overawed by his first outing outside of a racecourse and fair to say the first half dozen... fences were somewhat sketchy! However once focus found, distractions ignored and brain switched on he grew in confidence and ate up the second half of the course easily stepping up in height by a grade or two. A great initiative by Horseland to keep us all working on our jumping technique during restrictions.
