25.01.2022 Dear Alex Thank you again for the "lovely send off" for dad. We couldn't have found a better celebrant to conduct the service - you received many compliments later at the wake and we wished you were there to hear them. I think the service time frame was perfect and we appreciated your advice on the eulogy and other aspects which was done in a respectful, kind and caring manner.... As a family and individually, we would have no hesitation in recommending you in the future to others.

We had so many comments of how great your words were, how well you delivered it and how you told the story of dad in a way that wasn’t soppy and sad which was perfect. I have to say I was even able to enjoy it without crying through the whole thing. My boss in particular commented on your well written eulogy that kept him intrigued the whole time. ... And from my point of view Alex I was a wreck this morning didn’t know if I could do it but sitting there listening to you calmed me and allowed me to get up and make dad proudwell I hope he was listening anyway ! Thankyou Noelene for these lovely words: Alex, i just want to tell you how much I enjoyed your contribution to Geoff's memorial. I don't believe I have ever listened to a more sincere and kind celebrant and you displayed a wonderful sense of calm which was felt throughout the room.

19.01.2022 Hi Alex. What a wonderful send off we had for Paul the other day. Thank you so much for your care and sympathy towards us. Many of our friends mentioned that they thought you would have known Paul well the way you spoke in your eulogy. That showed how well you heard and listened to what we said about him and his life. It was a very emotional day for us all and we are still getting over our loss. Your lovely smile and caring attitude made it all much easier for us. Thank you again.

13.01.2022 Hi there Alex, I just wanted to thank you for Joyce's service yesterday and to let you know how many people have praised you to us. A few people have said they will remember your name for when they have need for a celebrant in the future.... And more have commented on you being the right choice for it. For me personally, you really created the atmosphere of the whole funeral & set the tone exactly where Joyce would have wanted it. As clichéd as 'celebrating her life' sounds, that's really what it felt like, while respectfully acknowledging the loss and grief without turning it depressing (quite a feat I would think) & this has allowed a lot of people the closure they needed. You spoke so well and everyone said it was a great service (some said it was the best they have been to but it’s not something that one should be comparing)! 11.01.2022 Dear Alex i just wanted to take the time to thank you for such a beautiful warm service for christie. I had many people come up to me afterwards to tell me just that. Her cousins especially her eldest cousin Sean he told me he loved the way you spoke of Christie in a very personal way with much emotion almost like you knew her he felt you had a warmth about you that made you perfect to present the service for our beautiful Christie. Even my mother came to me the next day and... said she would like her send of to be done exactly like Christies as it was so beautiful. I told her we would only ever send her off with the most beautiful ceremony. I often think that people who choose to be a funeral celebrant as a career would have to make themselves to a degree become immune to the many emotions involved in a funeral.
