23.01.2022 'PRESSURE ON BUYERS' If I watch another profile video where someone proudly highlights their honed skill of being able to 'know when to put pressure on buyers',... I am going to lose my sh*t. Why would you want to be known by anyone as someone who puts pressure on people? Sure, the auction arena requires time-sensitive judgement, but we're there to guide and advise. To rationalise, validate, suggest and confirm value. To generate, facilitate and dictate competition. Buying a property is emotional enough without adding pressure into the mix. When the gavel falls, do you want someone to have felt pressured into that buying decision, or would you prefer that they were glad they took your expert advice? That they appreciated your time and empathy throughout the auction? Rather than pressuring them, you were their clarity. You may say it's semantics, but I think it's the wrong word to use. You know when to put pressure on buyers? Good. That's another thing that sets us apart.
