15.01.2022 Replacement system for this customer after their system purchased 9 years ago bit the dust . With our region being so close to the ocean, the salt in the air had eaten away at the panel’s insulation causing the system to short to earth. I always stress the importance of buying quality parts with high tolerance to salt mist (these REC panels are exactly that) and unfortunately, this is a prime example of why an investment in good parts is so important when choosing to go solar .

15.01.2022 We installed this challenging REC 6.6kW system at Laang on Enphase micro inverters on a terracotta roof . The property is surrounded by big, beautiful gum trees that cast afternoon shade on parts of the array (group of panels) - the ultimate combatant of shade are micro inverters . As opposed to a typical string inverter system where shade on one panel would bring the entire array’s production down, each panel has their own micro inverter meaning they operate independently. If one panel is shaded, the rest operate as per normal. Enphase micro inverters are an excellent product with a 10 year warranty, extremely low failure rates, no high DC voltage present on the roof and individual panel and consumption monitoring - giving the owner great insight into their systems performance and usage habits . @ Laang, Victoria, Australia

12.01.2022 We installed solar on this motel earlier this year, today it was time for a switchboard upgrade . With nothing labelled and circuits protected by old fuses, this board is now RCD protected, fully organised and safe for all customers staying here .

11.01.2022 Did you know? You may be seeing a lot of low prices getting around for solar systems, and you will be glad to know we are now offering a budget system for financially conscious buyers. 09.01.2022 Nice little switchboard upgrade over the weekend . With a young child in this customers house, replacing the dangerous fuses with a new RCD (safety switch) protected board makes their home a whole lot safer .

07.01.2022 A few before and after photos of a lighting upgrade we completed at Aaron Purcell’s racing stables . Now the stable workers can see what they’re doing in the early hours of the morning and the horses can see their mates stabled next door to them .

06.01.2022 Out with the dim batten holder , and in with the downlights and strip lighting . This study was poorly lit and the overhead cupboards cast a shadow over the work areas, so we installed two downlights with an additional length of strip lighting over each of the desks. With these simple improvements, this room should be a hub of productivity now. 05.01.2022 Another 6.6kW system installed with REC Hollywood black panels . With minimal north facing roof, we split this install over East and west facing roofs which gives production earlier in the morning and later in the evening - perfect for those families who are out of the house all day.

04.01.2022 New old. We upgraded this dangerous, dilapidated switch board and meter panel to a new combination meter box and the difference is night and day . This switchboard had undersized mains and with renovations underway with plans to add more electrical loads, upgrading the mains and adding in a main switch was a must to prevent fire hazards .

02.01.2022 Nice to put the finishing touches on this 26kW system for @jlsplashfactory out at their Kolora pool . We fired the system up at 9.30am this morning and straight away, the heavy loads associated with the pool were fed by the solar panels resulting in immediate savings . We look forward to monitoring this systems performance in the future and seeing how it performs for the business!

Not every customer needs a 6.6kW system despite what is constantly marketed, each home is unique in their electricity usage and needs appropriate system design and sizing.
