19.01.2022 Alfabs FUSE Mental Health Program has been delivered over the previous fortnight to all teams across Alfabs, team members from office, workshop and site. The face-to-face approach gave everyone the opportunity to understand and ask questions around this program. FUSE incorporates; an app-based EAP service, company-wide training delivered by the Black Dog Institute and monthly health and wellbeing themes. Engagement and energy from the teams has been tremendous says Lisa Lamond, Group People Advisor, the feedback is proving that the program is hitting the right tone with the employees. FUSE is, in itself, a statement for change at Alfabs and I’m already aware of it starting conversations that wouldn’t have happened otherwise. We are working on something wonderful here at Alfabs: watch this space!

Like not being able to see properly (or at all), you physically can’t get out of bed, can’t walk to the phone to call someone anyone or live a life without pain? 09.01.2022 Congratulations to former NSW Rural Fire Service Commissioner Shane Fitzsimmons! It has just been announced that Shane is in the running for the NSW Australian of the Year, what an amazing accomplishment and very well deserved! After such horrific and difficult time throughout Australia, Shane showed great leadership and compassion throughout such hard times for so many Australian’s. In 2019 / 2020, Australia experienced record-breaking temperatures for several months on top... of severe drought, which fuelled a series of massive bushfires across several states. Many men and women put their lives at risk, working together tirelessly, volunteering day in day out, night after night for many long hours battling the bushfires to save homes, properties, businesses and the many thousands of lives at risk. Thankfully, cooler conditions and well needed rain brought the desperate respite to our emergency services, finally the battle was won bringing the bushfire season to a close. Big Red was released to a Mine Site where it is now hard at work, representing our hard-working fire and emergency service crews who were at the forefront of these fires. Congratulations again Shane, what an outstanding recognition of your work throughout these times!
