24.01.2022 Join AGLWA Vic in the Launch of the State Government-funded Mentoring Program, officially launched by the Hon. Shaun Leane MP, Minister for Local Government. Thursday, 12th November 2020, 5:30pm. Hear from Leonie Morgan AM, who will be facilitating the program, and two 2016 participants, mentor and mentee alike.... This is the perfect opportunity for you to learn about the benefits of being mentored in your new role, how you can be supported, and what to expect as a mentee. You will also learn more about what it takes to be a mentor, and how you can use your expertise to support other women in local government. 18.01.2022 This week saw the official launch of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence, including the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, and the 12th Annual Walk Against Family Violence. ALGWA Vic aims to raise awareness and send the message that violence against women is never okay, and that we as humans need to respect each other for a violence-free Victoria.
