16.01.2022 Our first day at Ali Island was magic! The locals gave us a beautiful welcoming ceremony; we were clapped and cheered onto the island and decorations were everywhere! The children gave us leis and put on a hilarious puppet show. We went swimming with the kids in the most crystal clear water we'd ever seen, followed by a tour of the island. We had a snorkel and then gifted the kids with skipping ropes and spent hours playing games. The people of Ali have made us feel so welcome and we are overwhelmed by their hospitality. We are excited to put in the solar panels over the next couple of days and for tomorrow's lunch.. Lobster!!

09.01.2022 Wow! Lindsay Drummond from the Kiwanis Club of Geelong just contacted the project to notify us that they are donating towards the purchase of 100 solar lights as part of our "Knowledge is Light" programme. We aim to get 300 of these lights up to the school kids of Ali Island, so they can study at night. Thanks Kiwanis for their ongoing support of our project and thanks to Greg Puls for his ongoing efforts in spruiking our cause. If anyone is interested in donating to the purchase of a solar light for Ali, please stay tuned. Details will be out shortly.

06.01.2022 Thank you to the Ali Island Project's Pam Hutchinson for producing a beautiful photo book in memory of Everlyn Yari, who sadly passed away far too young last year. The upcoming tour group will personally deliver it to Everlyn's parents, Emil and Christine. We all miss your smile Everlyn.

05.01.2022 Great to catch up with Paul Siwinski to have a catchup and chat about this years venture to Ali Island from the 21st June to the 1st of July. Note the respectable haircut Paul now has!

04.01.2022 Wondering how you can help the kids on Ali Island? Our next project aims to get 300 solar lights to the school kids which will allow them to study in the evenings. By donating just $15, you will have improved a child's education. Get involved and donate today! http://islandproject.com.au/donate/

04.01.2022 It is almost time for our 2016 trip and this year, the group are focusing on giving the gift of light. Presently, once the sun sets on the local communities, there's no source of light. With no light, the local children can't do any homework or study. For just $15 you can sponsor a child's solar light to help them read and study on Ali Island. To donate, visit http://islandproject.com.au/donate/ and be sure to mention your name alongside the word SOLAR.... Any donation will go a long way and be greatly appreciated Please feel free to share and spread to word! Knowledge is Light!
