24.01.2022 Its #meetthecommitteeMonday! Here is our Treasurer, Donna Mead! We asked, duck sized horses or 1 horse sized duck? '1 horse sized duck. 100 duck sized horses as ducks are evil. Proof? The famous evil duck at UOW, was so horrible, when he died was memorialised with a statue.'

23.01.2022 We’re back! After a long summer, ALIAVic is kicking back into gear for 2021 with some events already lined up, but with plenty of opportunity for more connection and discussion of all things library related. As you are aware, we are a small group of volunteers, here to facilitate connection and interaction in libraries and between library workers of all types. As we move into 2021, we will be concentrating on the e-list and our Discord group to advertise our events. You will still see us signal boost other groups in Victoria on our socials, as well as events that might be of interest, but for hot-off-the-presses events, sign up to the e-list. With regards to events, we’re kicking of the year with Online Trivia on our Discord group on Sunday March 28th, at 6.30pm. Our marvellous Questionmaster, Michael, will march us through March themed trivia. For 2021 the online trivia will scale back to once every two months, and we’d love to hear suggestions from all our followers as to what events you’d like to see in 2021 please get in touch!

06.01.2022 Monash Public Library Service will only offer digital collections and services during Stage 4 restrictions. This is due to the State Government requirement for ...onsite operations to cease in workplaces across Melbourne. Reservations can no longer be placed on any items in the library catalogue and regretfully all our home delivery services will be suspended shortly. Our after hours returns chutes will close at 5pm on Wednesday 5 August until further notice. All our digital collections remain available and we will continue to deliver programs online via YouTube and social media. You can continue to contact us via email and social media. #stayathome
