How you engage with your followers, what you share, the language you use and the GENUINE passion and enthusiasm you have what you do. You can post a million pretty pictures and have the most beautiful aesthetic EVER but if it doesn't "grab" your... audience? It ain't gonna work! Recently I've gone through a rebrand. I've tuned into my strengths, harnessed my passion, said NO to my imposter syndrome and used this to motivate me and propel me in a direction that really lights my soul on fire! (shut up, I'm not corny! You're corny!). Here's a few fun (non-business'y) facts about me for those that may be mildly interested! I'm a Taurus. Yeah, that's right. In pretty much every sense of this astrological sign (good traits only of course!). Sensible, loyal, patient, lover of luxury and comfort, HILARIOUS and maybeeee a lil' bit stubborn! If you want me to go out for a meal with you? Take me to brunch. Who invented that meal? A genius that's who. I'm OBSESSED with interior design and architecture and Kevin McLeod is my secret crush and I'd pay good money to make the women from @threebirdsrenovations my best friends. Seriously. I hail from the Bellarine Peninsula, but spent the better part of the last decade in Brisbane. LOVE LOVE LOVE Brisbane. But Geelong is my home I am the VERY proud founder and director of the incredible @sweatworkinggeelong community. What an amazing group of women that little passion project of mine has connected! 06.01.2022 HAPPY FRIDAY Another fun fact about me. I worked in corporate hospitality and events for nearly 20 years before I took the leap into the unknown by starting my own business. Overseeing both Food and Beverage and Events/Sales departments for International Hotel companies Voyages, Starwood and Accor, my career has been incredibly varied and diverse. Would I ever go back? Not on your life I'm not a big drinker, but I DO love a summery ...fresh cocktail and I particularly like ones that require vodka as a base. FIgs aren't in season here in Australia at the moment, but put this one on the list for late summer Friday night drinks for sure! Fig Thyme Shrub Cocktail: 30ml vodka 15ml freshly squeezed lime juice 45ml fig thyme shrub (recipe below) Top with club soda Halved fresh figs for garnish Thyme sprigs for garnish Fig-thyme shrub: 2 cups diced fresh figs 3/4 cup granulated sugar 1 cup apple cider vinegar 10 sprigs fresh thyme muddle ENJOY!
