05.01.2022 An eventful day with the girls at Bundaberg From last to first to an unplanned exit from the arena.... 4 yo Minnie was hot to trot giving me a run for my money in the warm-up (thank you monkey grip! ). Some lovely moments with this talented girl but just a little too excitable for consistency yesterday, in spite of which still managed a ribbon in the Prelim 1A with some lovely comments and a ‘tactful riding’ Sparky-Suzie showed improvement from the last outing, top...ping both her Novices with good scores and really positive comments. By the time we entered the Elementary Suzie reckoned it was far too boring and decided to add an extra ‘hurdle’.... After gaining some pleasing scores for her very first Elementary including the shoulder-ins and walk to canter Suze had clearly had enough; an animated ‘wave’ at the judge with her hooves and a sharp exit over the white boards ensued The girls made me work for it but I am so pleased with their progress and a great experience for them both with exposure to new arenas and surroundings. Well done to everyone lots of familiar faces lovely to see!
