25.01.2022 QUEEN OF THE MOUNTAIN! @deejayydowling has a big love for box jumps but after an injury had to put them on hold for a while Over the last few weeks we have been slowly reintroducing her to her favourite exercise and climbing the mountain... She is the most hard-working, selfless and all round beautiful person in all aspects of her life. Because she is so driven everything she touches, she exceeds at. Today I had the absolute pleasure of meeting her beautiful son and he followed in her footsteps every step of the workout. It made me think that she is showing him how fun and beneficial hard work can really be every single day. She is a true role model. To all the hard working mums and dads out there. 14.01.2022 TAKE THE WORM OUT OF YOUR PUSH UP Push ups are hard work! More often than not we lean on our hips to get us on/off the ground causing us to do a "worm" movement.... Watch @kat_roworth here. By keeping her hips off the ground she is forcing herself to use her upper body only to perform a strict push up. With some push up homework and Kat's absolute determination she went from worm to warrior in just a few weeks. Give the homework a try and see how you go. 10 x push ups everyday. Take 5 full seconds to lower yourself down and keep your hips off the ground. Try to push yourself up while keeping your hips up (you probably won't be able to do this straight away and that is OK!) Get back to your push up position however you can and repeat Put it the work and you will get the results. Well done Kat. Victory dance. Proud @girlguide_health #strongwomen

13.01.2022 NO TIME TO TRAIN? If you're ever short on time to exercise then try leopard crawling for 5 minutes. Leopard crawling is low impact, highly effective and requires no equipment so you can do it anywhere!... Look at @tezma95 go. Eyes are forward Opposite arm/leg steps Hips steady Knees hover just off the ground If/when you feel like giving up. Put your knees down and keep crawling until you're ready to lift them up again. Ultimate goal is to go 5 minutes without dropping! Now crawl #strengthtraining #strongwomen @girlguide_health

Along the way when things get tough or you hit a plateau it is easy to lose motivation and give up.... Your reason why is what motivated you to begin. It is your fuel to keep you going. You lunge to stand up. Knees ache or get the wobbles when you lunge? Practice makes perfect and the best place to start is next to a wall. Check out @tezma95 practising her lunges. She's placing her hand on the wall for balance and her front knee is stacked directly on top of her front ankle.
