23.01.2022 #MUMMYTUMMYGATE There is currently a lot of advertising referencing ‘Mummy Tummy’ all over Facebook and it’s making me furious. A colleague, Wendy Langshaw, has summed it up perfectly. Do yourself a favour and have a read. If you have concerns regarding abdominal separation or Rectus Diastasis, please see a Women’s Health Physiotherapist - we have done extensive post-graduate training in this area and many other areas of Women’s Health - from Prolapse Management, Urinary and Faecal Incontinence, Pregnancy and Post-natal Care, Breast and Gynaecological Cancer Rehab and even Osteoporosis Management.

20.01.2022 So, things have been a bit quiet on this page for the last six months and that’s because I’m about to launch another business, a Gin Business.....Speakeasy Alice. I am still working as a Women’s Health Physio, full-time.... I’m now just adding another small business into the mix. Crazy, I know, but why not!

19.01.2022 At this time of year, I usually send corporate gifts to the Drs, midwives, clients and other referrers who support Alice Adamson Physiotherapy. This year, however, I have decided to support the CFS with a monetary donation instead. To all those who do support my business, a massive THANK YOU. I love what I do and I really appreciate all your support. I’m sorry you won’t be getting a bottle of gin this year, but this seems like a much better use of the money. I am hoping th...at by posting this, I may encourage other small businesses to do the same thing. If the government won’t support the CFS adequately, we need to step up. Thanks again for a wonderful 2019 and I look forward to an even better 2020. https://cfsfoundation.org.au/donate

07.01.2022 Remember, motherhood is not all about sacrifice (though a fair bit of that goes on!). Enjoy some ‘me time’ too!

04.01.2022 Hi All, I will be donating 100% of my consulting fees, for new patients, to bushfire relief next week. I am allocating 20hrs of my schedule for this sole purpose. Why? Because I feel so helpless watching all the devastation going on in SA, and the rest of Australia, and feel I need to do something. I was meant to be heading to India tomorrow with my partner and his family, but due to medical reasons, I am no longer able to go with them. The silver lining is that I have a fai...rly empty schedule next week and so I figured I may as well work... So if you have a pelvic floor or pregnancy/postnatal issue or even a sore neck or back that you’ve meaning to get seen to, make an appointment for next week. I have yet to confirm which exact charities to donate to ( I need to research further) as I’m keen for the money to stay in SA. If you have any suggestions, I’d love to hear them. To make an appointment, please email me at [email protected] OR SMS me on 0403 949 719 Thanks so much, Al xx

02.01.2022 Pelvic Floor Dysfunction post delivery: The take home message... don’t be embarrassed and please do something about it - it doesn’t have to be this way! Xx
