25.01.2022 Yoga update... Ive received lots of messages lately asking if Ill be teaching yoga again in the next month or two and after thinking about it for a while, Ive decided not to. It took me a long time to admit to myself and now to my clients that Im just not ready yet. The truth is I havent prioritised my own yoga practice since Bobby was born and its important to me to re fall in love with yoga myself before I share it with anyone else. To jump back in now just doesn...t feel like it would be coming from the right place and I need to honour that . For now Ill be continuing to work as Bobby sleeps on my online biz and wellness events (whos up for a retreat?) plus I have a few talks coming up and as soon as I feel called to share yoga again, I will. Meanwhile, a beautiful friend is teaching in Hillarys and is offering a donations based slow flow class this Sunday to raise money for the s. Check out @jodiey_ (on Insta) for bookings and for details of her regular classes. Youll love her vibe .

22.01.2022 Today something pretty special happened... Standing Strong were invited to Aubin Grove Primary to share the program (with 800 children. ) and inspire the year ones to sixes to take care of their mental health. We shared movement, had discussions on mindset, taught a whole heap of practical tools to use in everyday life and went on a journey to our very own safe spaces through visualisation. Feeling so warm and fuzzy right now!
22.01.2022 Last week can only be described as the hardest week of my life. I was hit with intense anxiety triggered by the torture that is sleep deprivation. As someone who thrives on a full nights sleep, averaging three hours a night quickly took a huge toll on my mental health. Divine timing was looking out for me... In the very same week, I was introduced to a hemp oil thats brand new to Australia. This oil helped IMMENSLEY in relieving me from the anxiety I was suffering with, re...ducing the fogginess, helping me to take day naps and providing me a sense of relief and hope! I am asked so often by friends and clients to recommend an oil to them, but Ive never been able to find something legal, natural and with benefits that I have witnessed... until now. People are seeing huge improvements in anxiety, depression, sleep (without a baby in a sleep regression ), pain management and so much more. Its no secret that I LOVE a natural remedy and have to share a good thing when I find it. Id be more than happy to share more with you if youre interested for yourself or if you are looking for a product to recommend to your clients.
21.01.2022 Im looking for some teens & tweens that want to come and hang out with me on a Wednesday night as of next week... From 4:30pm to 6pm in Hillarys, each week will consist of 30 mins of movement, 30 mins of chats and 30 mins of mindfulness. We will do yoga and dance, well learn how to feel comfortable opening up with one another and make new friends, well learn new things and let go of some old beliefs, well make some funky things and unleash our creativity. The works...hops are designed to educate, empower and inspire these beautiful young girls as they learn how to express themselves, build confidence, resilience and self-esteem. If you know a girl aged 13-17 who would LOVE this, please tag her or her Mumma/Aunty/Gma/Carer below. We have limited spots available and this is going to be SO special for those who can join me. This is my life and I am standing strong... Brave Heart Wellbeing. Standing Strong.
20.01.2022 This is heartbreaking. While we are sitting here trying to decide what to do to bring in the new year, there are still huge fires raging over Australia, families sitting on their boats in the river and thousands of people forced to take shelter on the waterfront. The dilemma of how we should spend our evening seems so stupid! I've been sitting here trying to think of ways to help for a little while now and everything I think of doesn't seem significant enough. But something s...mall is better than nothing so for each bottle of Hemp Oil ordered until the end of January, I'll plant one tree in Australia to assist in reforestation from these bushfires. For each bottle ordered in the next 24 hours, I'll plant two trees. It's not much, but it's something. If you want to buy, get in touch and I'll send through the link to purchase. P.S. I am trying to find the right company to plant the tree's through. At the moment it's looking like Greenfleet or One Tree Planted, but if you know of a better corporation please let me know!
20.01.2022 A little happiness for your feed.
20.01.2022 Chalk drawn messages on the streets, health a new priority, forced rest, meals cooked from scratch, families playing and taking more walks/bike rides together, homes becoming uncluttered, pjs all day, veggie patches planted, teddies and rainbows in windows, communities bonding, new online businesses being born, foster dogs finding homes, small biz support, balcony and street parties, new hobbys uncovered, FaceTime calls all day and beers delivered by drone. Every cloud has a silver lining... What have you noticed around you?

18.01.2022 Mindfulness Jar. A simple but effective activity you can do at home with your children to encourage quiet, mindful moments. There are so many ways that these jars can be used, providing a sense of calm and be time for reflection and quiet. They can represent thoughts or worries and as we watch the glitter settle, the mind settles too. It can also be used as a timer where we are reminded to slow down and take deep breaths until all of the glitter has settled. To make at home... youll need: An old jar with a tight lid Warm water Glycerin or liquid glue Washing up liquid Glitter (biodegradable is best for the if possible) Fill the jar 3/4 of the way with warm water. Add a few drops of Glycerin or liquid glue, a few drops of washing up liquid and as much glitter as youd like. Fill with warm water to the top of the jar, shake. Add more glycerin if the glitter falls too quickly. These were so much fun to make with our Tweens and Teens yesterday, but can be a great activity for younger children too. They can even double as snow globes for a Christmas activity! Please share this with someone you think would love it or save the post to come back to it later.
17.01.2022 2020 can be whatever we want it to be... but weve gotta do the work ourselves to get there!
17.01.2022 Always a pleasure hanging with Carla Thomas The Juicy Movement. Today it was for something a little out of my reg... recording a podcast for thecword_podcast with Bare & Wilde joining us on the dial. We babbled all things travel, subscription boxes, non-negotiables and of course #SampleYourWellness. Episode will be out in a few weeks. Thanks guys for having us on. Now to break in the weekend with an Espresso Martini before the wedding of the year tomorrow.
15.01.2022 The ladies at Hush Spa & Wellbeing Perth & Indi Breeze are hosting a free yoga class at Mullaloo Beach tomorrow in celebration of International Womens Day. Its the most beautiful spot to watch the sun begin to set and give a little love back to yourself. Will I see you there?
15.01.2022 The last week or so felt a little heavy and taking some time out with little pressure and no commitments was just what was needed. When sitting sharing breakfast with baby Bobby on the river in the sunshine and I felt a complete sense of gratitude overcome me and wash the heaviness away. This is our reality... slow mornings, nature walks, cafe breakfasts, beach sunsets, adventuring together and enjoying the simple life. In this time out I realised that this isnt time out... at all, this is our reality. All of the things I crave to make me feel good are the things that I get to do every single day. This is how we are living our lives. Together weve worked so hard to be here and I feel so proud that I had the courage to start my own business and work on my own terms, giving us this flexibility and this freedom. My next goal is to have Bobby on the daily adventures with us! by Opal Imagery.

13.01.2022 Today marks the start of Mental Health Week here in Australia. A time to bring awareness to the fact that looking after our mind is as important as looking after our physical body! It took me until I was about to bring a new life into the world to realise it was absolutely OK to prioritise my own mental health. To begin to say no more, to feel OK with cancelling plans, to not pick up the phone, to be comfortable with the fact that I couldnt always be there to support everyone else all the time. As a self proclaimed fixer and people pleaser, it was hard but it feels good to take back that energy and give it back to myself. Id love to hear how you have prioritised your own mental health lately? #mentalhealthstartshere

10.01.2022 We all know that the Facebook app listens to us and then spams us with targeted ads, but for the last few months Facebook have been storing data of everything youve been up to, even when youve left the app! From the coffee that youve ordered, to the conspiracy theory youve clicked on, its all being stored in Facebooks data. Friends, if you want to keep a little of your privacy, you can turn it off by: Select Settings & Privacy > Settings. Click Your Facebook Informa...tion in the left column, then click Off-Facebook Activity. Click More Options > Manage Future Activity > Manage Future Activity. Click next to Future Off-Facebook Activity, then click Turn Off to turn off your future off-Facebook activity. While your there, also click CLEAR history!
10.01.2022 Check out this incredible fundraiser at my fave cafe Moore & Moore Cafe. Out in the courtyard, with high tea and silent auction to raise money for the national bushfire disaster. I hope you can join.
09.01.2022 Once you know something, you can't unknow it... and something that I learnt a while ago is that most laundry powders contain toxic chemicals that are absorbed into your blood stream within 26 seconds of contact. Not to mention what you're inhaling. Even the products that appear and sometimes even claim to be natural are often misleading, which can make it so hard to do the right thing for you and your family. We've been using natural laundry products in our home for a while n...ow but recently made the switch to Hudstone. I couldnt consciously choose something that is so dangerous for us now when there are natural alternatives, that actually WORK, smell amazing and average out to 9-19c per wash. This is actually cheaper than the shop bought products because they are so highly concentrated that you need to use so much more. It's easy to watch what you eat and put in to your body, but the skin is our largest organ and what we wear and sleep under is rubbing against us all day and night. Most of the chemicals found in washing powders, cleaners and skin care products havent been tested for their long-term effects on humans because they aren't ingested. CRAZY! We are all trying to make better choices and this is such a simple switch that I had to share. So now you know too.
09.01.2022 Im thrilled to be a part of this...
08.01.2022 If youd have told me ten years ago that part of my work would be to empower young girls and teach them life skills and mindfulness tools to take with them on their journey through life, Id have never believed you. But THIS is my reality and I couldnt love it any more. Today we spoke about self-belief and challenges, we moved our bodies, laughed, pulled affirmation cards, got creative and learnt visualisation tools. We shared our gratitude's and every single girl in the r...oom said that they were grateful for this. For a safe space to learn, be inspired and make new friends. Ive got just one more school holiday workshop booked in for next Tuesday, 10-1:30. If your 11-16 year old girl wants to come out, I promise she will have SO much fun. It can be a hard age to convince, but if you get her there, Ill do the rest. Check out Standing Strong & Brave Heart Wellbeing for details of other workshops. Also a huge thank you to Love Cubs for the affirmation cards. They were a HIT with the girls!
07.01.2022 Our work is not who we are... its just what we do. Ive found that Ive been putting a lot of pressure on myself lately to figure out exactly where I want my biz to go next. Ive got a million ideas but little clarity around them or time to get things moving. Ive almost been giving it too much attention and thinking that what I do in my biz defines who I am as a person. So heres a reminder to myself, and anyone else who needs it. You are so much more than what you do in ...your work hours. Your work isnt who you are, its JUST what you do. A small part of you. So leaving your job/career/work aside, who are you? Something to think about.
05.01.2022 Wow. I am surrounded by so much love! Thank you all for your beautiful messages after my post yesterday. Every day I feel incredibly blessed to have the most magical support network surrounding me, as well as access to holistic tools and natural remedies to assist me when I need a little extra. The reason I love this platform is because its a place to share authentically... the highs and the lows. A place to share what Im learning and what Im loving incase it resonates o...r inspires you to think in a different way! I didnt mean to worry anyone. I am fine and I am happy! It was just a tough week on next to no sleep, but we are through the other side now and I truly hope that everyone else feels as supported as I do on this wild ride. Also, Im obsessing over this pretty necklace engraved with date that Bobby joined us earthside and a new version of me was born. Thank you Runaway Rosy Jewellery.
05.01.2022 Feeling spontaneous? Join me tonight at The Jungle Body's event for Mental Health Week WA. See Brave Heart Wellbeing's post to win tickets.
05.01.2022 Looking through the photos from Sample Your Wellness before my Sunday breakfast and drooling at all of this delicious food we got to try! We had ceoliac friendly desserts from Marmalade & Co, sugar free cakes from 180 Cakes, a brand new recipe that gets our approval from Sweet Harvest Cakes, delicious salads and juices from Inner Ego, artisian chocolate with ROSE PETALS from Little Miss Chocolateria, warming teas from The Tea Booth & Antipotea the best brewed booch from Ko...mmunity Brew & Alewife Brewing Company, mouthwatering cookies from Fiona's Fancies, hot cacao from Nib and Noble & soft drinks from 14K Brewery. Not only did we get to taste and sample their delicious food and drinks, but we also made incredible connections to last a life time. 03.01.2022 I love to share a good thing when I find it... and heres one of those good things. A 15 year old with a big dream. www.planetangels.com.au. Sarinas passion for helping the environment and improving the world we live in saw her launch her own eco-business at the age of 14!!! This makes me think back to what I was doing at 14 and feel terrible. Shes now making sustainable choices accessible and affordable to everyone and offers all kinds of conscious goodies, including this organic cotton bag that has POCKETS! PLEASE consider showing a little support this Christmas to a beautiful soul with a huge dream! Use the code Alice10 for a little discount and if you have your eyes on another present for your loved one, you can even buy them a bag and use it as wrapping paper. Win win!
03.01.2022 When it comes to my business, this little man here in the bucket hat is my reason why. The reason why I started my own biz all those years ago. The reason I wanted to be able to work flexibly, if and when I choose. The reason why I continue to find ways to work smarter not harder. The reason I say yes to new opportunities. The reason I let go of anything that doesnt feel 100%. The reason why Im about to make the biggest investment in my biz to date. The reason why I just had my biggest week in my biz ever with the fewest hours worked . The reason why I have no plan B! Whats your WHY?
01.01.2022 2019... what a year! By far the most transformative year yet and full of polar opposites. Ive had some of the best days of my life and some of the hardest. I welcomed our little man Bobby into our family and also had to say goodbye to our GG a little too early.... I learnt to prioritise my time, set boundaries and honour them... and also found patience in devoting my full attention to someone else. Ive created some of the deepest bonds I've ever had and let go of some old friendships. I surrendered to the fact that I can't be fix everything nor be everything for everyone and learnt to accept help myself. I continue to let go of the words busy in my biz and manifested a huge dream opportunity meaning more time at home with my little man. 2019 hasnt been the easiest year, but it has for sure been the most transformational and I will go to bed tonight with an overwhelming sense of gratitude and a full heart. Thank you for all being part of my journey! Happy new year.
