23.01.2022 Another busy week at Outcomes. Students and teachers continued to work on their tiles for the pizza oven. Sharna took a group of students to the Department of Education for a workplace visit. Many thanks to Cassie for taking the time to show us all the different departments. Shaun and students tested several different pizza bases so we will be ready for the first cook in the pizza oven and Stella and Tony Lee volunteered their time at the Inter-school basketball competition today! And Tim finished his pouch for his business cards. Excellent participation!
23.01.2022 Tim finished making a key ring for Lyndsay. She was most impressed with the workmanship. Now she’s hoping not too lose her keys at work again! Way to go Tim!
23.01.2022 Today students from CMS came to Outcomes to check us out! After a short tour and a talk about the Outcomes experiences they got to choose an activity. Most students chose leatherwork with Jack. They got to make wrist bands and tried braiding. Other students cooked a tasty risotto with Ron. And finally they got to make their own ice cream. Awesome participation CMS. We look forward to your next visit.
22.01.2022 What a lovely way to end the week with a birthday celebration. Happy birthday Chloe! We celebrated with a birthday cake made specially by Rose and Wyatt. No candles of course.
22.01.2022 Well done Tim! After learning the craft of leatherwork from Jack. You made a special dog collar as part of your Stage 1 Community Studies. We took it to the animal shelter to donate it to a needy dog. Way to go Tim! Great learning! Awesome participation!

19.01.2022 Lots happening at Outcomes today! Highlights include the following. Wyatt coding using Python 3.6 to devise a calculator. Rose cooked the sausages on the BBQ for our Monday meal. Ethan and Chantal used the sewing machine to make masks. Matilda completed her first maths assessment.... Tim showed us his table tennis skills with a game against Mickey. And Tjilala worked on her next drawing using charcoal. Fantastic participation by all students today! See more
18.01.2022 The pizza oven is now in place. Just a few extra bits to do before we can fire it up! Many thanks to Andrew for working with the students to build it and to Mickey, Ron, Jack and Shaun for moving it from where it was constructed to pride of place! Another mile stone in the development of the grounds to make them a functional educational workspace and a pleasure to be in.
17.01.2022 The end of another exciting week at Outcomes. Students completed assessments for Food and Hospitality, English, Maths, Creative Arts, PLP and Com Studies. Well done all! We hosted some Year 9 students from CMS and started our Repectful Relationships workshops. Finally today was a day for the Arts, with painting a mural for the Twilight Festival, constructing a wood storage unit and leatherwork. Super work everyone!
17.01.2022 Awesome participation at Outcomes today! The products made in leatherwork were of an amazing quality. Tim finished his dog collar for the RSPCA, Lyndsay had a pouch made for her and other students made wrist bands. We are so lucky to have Jack work with the students and teach them the intricate skills needed. Way to go everyone!

16.01.2022 Moments of celebrations for the teachers today! Sharna completed her probation with flying colours. Her presentation reflected the passion, thought, enthusiasm and involvement in ensuring we provide the best possible outcomes for all our students. Way to go Sharna! And Lyndsay was presented with a certificate celebrating 20 years of teaching in the Territory! Yay!
15.01.2022 We started the week with a BBQ at the Telegraph Station. Snags cooked by T’keyah. Today Wyatt completed his first practical for his Food and Hospitality course. He prepared and cooked a delicious spag bol. And Tony Lee led the PE class with warm up drills, skill development and a game. Even the teachers got involved in the lesson. Great participation.
14.01.2022 On Wednesday we took a group of students to Standley Chasm. They listened to a talk by Kevin Ronberg. He talked about local fauna and bush tucker and then talked about the Indigenous history of the place. He related it to the world history which provided the students with an understanding of the longevity of Indigenous people in Australia. What a fantastic experience! Many thanks to Standley Chasm-Angkere for hosting us.
13.01.2022 Many thanks to Ron, Tim and Ananiah for cooking us a tasty feed today. As it is NAIDOC week we had damper cooked in our fire pit, kangaroo stew a favourite meal for Rose and as a special treat dumpling in golden syrup with ice cream! Awesome work fellas! Much appreciated!

11.01.2022 Another birthday celebration today and another cake made! This time it was Lyndsay’s birthday and we celebrated with a chocolate and vanilla cake and chocolate cupcakes. Thanks Chantal, Jack and Ethan for the baking. And happy birthday Lyndsay!
10.01.2022 The end of another busy week. Lots of learning happening around the school, with students finishing assessments in Food and Hospitality, Coding, English, Maths, Sport, Creative Arts, Drawing, Health, PLP, Workplace Practices and students participated in their VET courses at CDU or in Tenannt Creek. Plus a visit to Centre for Remote Technologies and the staff worked with Inga from the Senior Team from Darwin on upskilling themselves in Community Studies. Great participation by all!

09.01.2022 Fantastic participation in our leatherwork class today. Students worked with Jack to make a dog collar, pouches for their cards and learnt how to plait to make bracelets. Tim also finished off his grans step. She was most impressed and uses it daily to help her reach things. Great way to end a busy week!
08.01.2022 It’s all a go at Outcomes! Students already working hard on their new Stage 1 subjects. Alicia Stanley from NTSDE joined us on Wednesday. She is going to work with staff and students on Stage 1 Sports, PE and Stage 2 Sports. What a great opportunity for learning for both staff and students. We look forward to working with you every Wednesday. As well as going to Centralian Senior College for our practical PE lessons, we also started our woodwork projects, a bird box and a platform for Tim’s gran, cooked a tasty spaghetti bol and leatherwork. Tim made his dog Andy a new collar. Lots of learning happening!
08.01.2022 We’re all getting excited! The pizza oven will have its first trial run on Thursday. So today the area was cleaned up, garden beds filled with soil and the trellis are ready to be put in with the passion fruit to grow up it! Thanks Andrew and Shaun. Marg supported our year 12 students, Lyndsay supervised a Stage1 assessment for Maths and Sharna worked with students on designing and creating their tiles for the pizza oven. All in a days work at Outcomes!
08.01.2022 So far this week Jack and Kyle have worked hard on making a bird box. Stella ran the practical PE lesson as part of her Stage 2 Sports. She taught us a warm up, some skills, a game and then some stretches. Awesome work Stella and Kyle!

05.01.2022 Today with the help of Ron students learnt safe practices in the kitchen. After preparing the food for a tasty stir fry all students then had the opportunity to cook their own meal in a wok on a flour drum stove. What a great experience and a delicious meal! Fantastic participation!
04.01.2022 As part of Stella’s Stage 2 Community Studies Health, Stella organised a Healthy Heart Day to highlight the importance of eating healthy food and staying active. She led the students and staff through a series of exercises designed to improve fitness levels and cooked a delicious healthy meal. Well done Stella! Another step towards completing your work towards your NTCET!
04.01.2022 What a busy week at Outcomes. Lots happening educationally with students submitting assessment tasks and completing first drafts. The outdoor cooking area now has a sink and a wood storage area. The next project is to make a prep table and some more seating. Students and staff played volleyball in their PE lesson and finally after a day of leatherwork, the staff worked on artwork for the pizza oven. They designed and made a clay tile. The kiln will be fired up on Monday for a trail run. Excellent work all!
