23.01.2022 Congratulations to Phil Nippress who today umpired his 300th ASCA Senior Men's match Phil first started umpiring in Alice Springs back in 2000-01 season after retiring from playing cricket. Phil played for 35 years including two seasons at West after moving to town in 1999 In 2004-05 was Phil's A Grade umpiring debut where he received a late call up after being rostered on to stand in a B Grade match, from there he has never looked back and still umpires almost every weekend... including a T20 double header today to bring up this great achievement Thank you & congratulations for everything you have given to ASCA over the years Phil, we look forward to many more ahead

This means that for the Tigers & Rovers, their chance of making the Grand Final are over and it will come down to a do or die game tomorrow between Federal Asbuild & Complete Construction Works from 12pm at Jim McConville Oval. Should tomorrow's games be abandoned, Works will move on to the Grand Final on Sunday evening

12.01.2022 After his club Works Cricket Club Alice Springs had already secured the Schmidt - Weeks cup named after him, Scmidty wound back the clock to help them clean sweep Rovers with a quick 3/1. 04.01.2022 Alice Springs Cricket will recognise NAIDOC week this weekend, with Round 6 of the competition to be ‘Indigenous Round’. This will be first time NAIDOC week has fallen in the ASCA season and the first Indigenous Round to be held in the Red Centre Competition. Alice Springs Cricket stalwart Shane Franey has designed an ASCA indigenous logo signifying the five teams coming together while keeping the originality of the logo intact. ... Each club is preparing painted stumps for their Women’s and A Grade sides to use during the round and teams will stand in a barefoot circle before each senior and junior game. There will be a smoking ceremony held prior to the commencement of the A Grade Rovers vs Federal game at Albrecht Oval. #AlwaysWasAlwaysWillBe #NAIDOC2020
