25.01.2022 We may not be travelling for a while but that doesn't mean we can't learn!! Registrations for adult language classes are now open for 2021. We will have beginners classes in Arrernte, English, Italian, Japanese and Spanish starting in February. All details are on our website https://bit.ly/34JLYbj

25.01.2022 It’s been a huge day at CMS today. We started with a cook up of kangaroo tail and wattle seed damper as a part of our NAIDOC Week celebrations. As always, our partnership with the Language Centre helps us to enrich the experiences we provide for our students.

24.01.2022 Yesterday we had the official opening of our Miss Margie Memorial Garden, honouring the memory our beloved Arrernte teacher, Miss M Smith. We were thrilled to be joined by over 80 visitors including family, friends and colleagues, as well as the Department of Education Chief Executive, Karen Weston. Students from Centralian Middle School and Centralian Senior College also attended. The beautiful mural which was unveiled by Miss M's daughter and niece, was designed by our curr...ent Arrernte Trainee and former student, Tiara Doolan. The garden, which has over 40 local bush food and medicine plants will be used by students studying Arrernte across Alice Springs to learn about the different local plants and their uses. 21.01.2022 Get SET in the NT - FUTURES FORUMS Calling all Year 12 school leavers in ALICE SPRINGS! Wondering what career opportunities may await you in the new year? Come ...and meet professionals across a range of industries and talk about what kind of post-school pathways you see for yourself. The Central Futures Forum is being held from 4 - 6pm, Wednesday 25 November, at the Centralian Senior College Gymnasium. The forum is free, and no registration is needed Just rock up and have a chat!

19.01.2022 Last was such a busy start to Term 4 with Stage 2 Exams starting. We were also thrilled to be able to host a very special visitor, Her Honour, the Administrator, who spent time in our bush foods memorial garden and learning about the wonderful work of our teachers.

15.01.2022 YUM!! At the end of last term the Year 7, 8 & 9 Chinese classes learnt how to cook Chinese dumplings and dim sum

14.01.2022 We have a tour and information session next week for prospective families, at 8.30am or 5.00pm on Wednesday 11th November. This is our last scheduled informatio...n session for the year but we are happy to meet with families outside of this by appointment. Just ring the school! Year 6 students who are coming to CMS next year will attend CMS for an Orientation Day on Friday 20th November.

14.01.2022 Over the last few weeks, our CMS Arrernte students have been planting seedling of local bush foods and medicines in our new garden. Students have focused on learning the Arrernte names of plants and their uses in class.

12.01.2022 Our Year 9 Spanish students have been working hard on their final projects for the year. Students created their own masterpiece and wrote description of their work in Spanish and English. Wonderful!

11.01.2022 We are looking for a skilled and passionate Administration Officer to join our team next year. This position is to provide a wide range of front office and financial support, working with a diverse team in a busy education environment. This is a fixed term contract. Applications close on Wednesday 18/11/2020.

10.01.2022 We have made the difficult decision to cancel all adult language classes for the rest of 2020 due to the current Covid-19 situation. We haven't made this decision lightly, but the current NT Government advice is that community members cannot access areas used by staff and students. We will still be taking expressions of interest for 2021 classes. If you need more information or have any questions, please contact us. We would like to thank the Alice Springs community for the ongoing support; we look forward to seeing language learners again next year.
