23.01.2022 Last year the Alice Springs Show celebrated 60 years - one of the Territory's oldest and much loved iconic shows. In 1960 a committee of 29 civic-minded volunte...ers with more enthusiasm than resources had a vision to see Alice Springs host an annual agricultural and pastoral event promoting the best of our region and providing the local community with a chance to showcase a diverse range of goods and services. The Alice Springs Show was born. This year the committee had to close the gates but continued the tradition with a Virtual Show, proving that innovation continues to this day.

Geoff has worked tirelessly as the Agriculture Steward for the Alice Springs Show for many years now. Held on the fi...rst weekend in July each year, the Central Australian Show Society have held a show for the last 61 years in the Red Centre. An important gateway into the Territory show circuit, each year the Alice Springs Show celebrates local excellence in agriculture by bringing together more than 20,000 locals and visitors with a range of fun and educational activities, exhibits, competitions and attractions.
