25.01.2022 When Deb Frecklington was Campbell Newmans Assistant Treasurer, they sacked 14,000 Queenslanders. Now Debs made $23 billion in election promises, but she wont share how shell pay for them. She doesnt have to say it. We know her only plan is cuts.

24.01.2022 Last week while I was sitting in MP School in Brisbane something really exciting happened... Congratulations to two of Pumicestone’s most recent Aussies! Gloria and Tan have been living in Bribie and Ningi for many years with their families, but last week took the amazing step of becoming Australian citizens. ... I met Gloria a few weeks ago at the Bribie Business Breakfast where she told me all about her new real estate business Gloria Day Real Estate. Both Tan and Gloria are fantastic members of our community. The citizenship ceremony looked a bit different than usual to keep COVID safe, but Gloria and Tan still joined the other new citizens of Moreton Bay Region in singing the National Anthem and taking the pledge of Australian Citizenship. To everyone who got tested, to everyone who followed the COVID-SAFE plans at restaurants, bars, cafes and events. Well done ... The easing of restrictions will mean people can see their loved ones in hospital, go visit aged care homes and see extended family. It's only because of the strong decisions Qld has made that we can be in this position. Well done Queensland

Plus the Club is thriving with hundreds of players and supporters turning out for today’s presentation. ... A special shoutout to my friend Beth for her Best Allrounder award! Today was a great acknowledgment of the players’ passion and dedication after a tough year - I was tempted to jump on the waterslide myself! It was bad for Queensland then and our strong health response through this pandemic would have been impossible if the LNP was in government now. This means twice the number of patrons will be allowed in beer gardens and other outdoor dining areas. ... Lets all support our local venues and help Queensland recover from COVID-19.

From 4pm on Tuesday 17th November:... Up to 50 people can gather in homes and public spaces across Queensland Person limits in indoor premises will increase from 1 person per 4 square metres to 1 person per 2 square metres Up to 200 people can attend weddings and all guests can dance at weddings, both indoors and outdoors Up to 200 people can attend funerals Seated, ticketed indoor events like theatre, live music, cinemas and sports can increase patron numbers from 50% to 100% of capacity Outdoor events can have up to 1,500 people attend with a COVID Safe Event Checklist. Open air stadiums can increase seated capacity from 75% to 100% with a COVID Safe Plan Outdoor dancing will be allowed, including at events like outdoor music festivals or in beer gardens Because Queenslanders worked hard to stop the spread of the COVID-19, we can continue to safely ease restrictions. Visitors will be permitted at hospitals, but may be required by the hospital to wear PPE. Aged care facilities can accept visitors when they are ready to do so. This is thanks to every Qlder who has continued to get tested and acted responsibly.

02.01.2022 Last week I delivered my First Speech in Parliament as your Member for Pumicestone. I am the first person in my family to attend University and I spoke about the transformative power of public healthcare and education for our community. Whether it's our satellite hospitals, air-conditioning our schools, or delivering more jobs and services, there is much work to do.... I have such high hopes for Pumicestone and my promise is to work hard every day. Together I know we can make Pumicestone better for us!

01.01.2022 Three new cases overnight. All were Queenslanders returning from overseas and detected in hotel quarantine. The increasing cases lately tells us two things. Firstly, that internationally, the COVID-19 crisis is worsening. ... Cases are skyrocketing around the world, but here in Queensland we are safe thanks to the strong decisions of our Premier and Chief Health Officer. Secondly, that more Queenslanders are returning home. Thank goodness they have finally been able to get on planes. I’m glad to see them back safely and with the risk to the community carefully managed through our hotel quarantine system. But no system is perfect and we all need to keep following the health advice to contain any possible spread.
