23.01.2022 Just another day of fun as this young lad gets to know Chaya, what a horse!

23.01.2022 What a beautiful way to end an eventful week! This Equine Assisted Learning student experienced synchronicity with Nemo in a glorious way. It’s amazing what can be achieved when you have all the building blocks in place. Self-regulation, trust, communication, intention, awareness, understanding, love, congruence, humility, respect, a little training and voila! We have oneness! This was only her second attempt at liberty. The big smile at the end says it all. This is a taste of heaven on earth. So glad I get to do this!

23.01.2022 Goose Assisted Therapy anyone? Highlight of the day for some clients is holding the gosling Lucky who seems to think she is a human being after being rescued from a mother who would rather peck her than care for her. Lucky for her and lucky for us the relationship is mutually beneficial.

21.01.2022 Found this little guy sunning himself on the post. So cute! He didn’t seem to be scared of me as his breathing stayed at a steady rate and he let me get quite close and even touch him (I had to move him to shut the gate). Such a precious gift from a loving Creator - I was only chatting to God the other day about how I’d love to get some up close pictures of a lizard, and here we are! Thank You Jesus! So special!

20.01.2022 Riding is always a special experience. Aligned Living’s way is very calm, safe and relaxed. We teach you how to improve your balance and connect with your horse for a better ride. By developing skills and connection on the ground, you will build confidence to hop on and go for a ride. Check out our Horsemanship program if you are interested

20.01.2022 These 2 have become good friends after a few horsemanship lessons. Learning how to understand horses builds confidence and a strong foundation for leadership. Who knows where this young lady might take the lessons she is learning in future?!

18.01.2022 Took this gorgeous photo today with this horsemanship student, I thought it was so cute, I had to share!

18.01.2022 Special GOSLING MOMENT- I had been cleaning out the trough and re-filling it. The geese love it when I do that and they all flocked around to enjoy the water. After a while they moved on, but these 2 goslings were having so much fun that they ended up being left behind. The one on the left seems distressed about the situation and then there seemed to be a moment where he suddenly realised that I was safe, and he sat down to rest. On the way back to his family he comes so close to me that I could easily touch him. I felt very honoured that he thought I was a safe person to provide cover from predators for him on his journey back to his family.

18.01.2022 These photos captured a special session for this horse lover who was told that she would never ride ever again. After trying to accept this heart-breaking news, she found out about Aligned Living and has come to get a second chance. She found it very therapeutic to reconnect with horses and is looking forward to having a chance to go for a ride soon! We are so happy to support her to achieve her dream of being able to ride again. What Joy!!

17.01.2022 This is what my client got this morning when she came for counselling

17.01.2022 Working with horses should be mutually beneficial. Here Chaya enjoys a scratch from our intern as they rest between activities. You can see by the expression on her face how much Chaya is enjoying herself. The human also receives joy by giving to the horse and everyone is happy. Chaya doesn’t always get to have things her way, but she is listened to and respected and given her way as much as possible

16.01.2022 Spring is here and so are some new baby goslings! These gorgeous balls of fluff brightened an already lovely day out in the arena with Chaya. So C-U-T-E!!!

16.01.2022 I received this message from a client this morning about yesterday’s session. It’s feedback like this that makes all the challenges worthwhile. This is why I’m doing what I’m doing!!

15.01.2022 Bryan studies the whiteboard with curiosity. He does naturally what we have to learn as we get hung up along the way of life. Bryan buddy, you don’t need to learn this one, you are teaching us! Humility, so beautiful!

14.01.2022 A day out with the horses is a wonderful bonding experience for the family. A chance to relax, wind down together, have fun and create memories for years to come. Let the horses help you put petty differences aside and deepen your connection. This family enjoyed their experience so much they came back again the same week!

12.01.2022 Chaya brings joy to another young lady!

11.01.2022 Horse disappears into rosebush! Not quite... Good try Chaya, but I can see you and grass time is finished, off we go!

10.01.2022 I think this wins most adorable pic ever! Chaya fell in love with this little princess who thinks Chaya is the most beautiful horse she’s ever seen! Chaya was so entranced by the girl that she didn’t even notice she was getting photographed! Such a beautiful, magical moment captured to remember her first ever ride on a horse

10.01.2022 The baby goslings are always a popular attraction. Here Lucky enjoys some snuggle time with a happy client

09.01.2022 Intern @natalierichmond14 masters leading - Oh happy day!!

08.01.2022 I caught these 2 having a special moment today. What a perfect day!

07.01.2022 Sometimes you just need a heart to heart with your dog person

07.01.2022 Bella decided to hijack our session this morning by sitting on my lap!!! She brought much light-hearted ness and giggles to our time together- thankyou Bella! I posted a couple of videos on Instagram if you want to check them out, they are sure to bring a smile

07.01.2022 Horses are curious creatures! Tilly and Magoo came over to investigate what these weird things (my ‘counselling trolley’) were in their paddock. They pulled out my body awareness mats and explored them with their mouths, promptly to be told off by Bill (the owner) for being naughty. Not meaning to be naughty, they moved on. What fun though! A very entertaining session with my client

06.01.2022 Want to know what an equine therapy session looks like? I am so pleased to share this beautiful video which shows an Equine Assisted Learning session I facilitated with Candice Wu. Candice eloquently and accurately describes her experience in 10 minutes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iKNX63uRXHs

05.01.2022 It's not every day one gets to meet with members of the cabinet. I enjoyed a very down to earth chat with Honourable Simone McGurk this morning about horses, dogs and the importance of connection with nature in general. Being reminded that we are living in one of the best places in the world right now helps me realise how much God has blessed us. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else right now! Thanks to Honourable Mark McGowan and his support staff for extending the invitation to breakfast and for leading us through the Covid19 crisis well (and to all who have pitched in with sacrifices, service, advice and support). God bless you all!

03.01.2022 Learning how to synchronise with those around us (human or otherwise) helps us feel connected and part of something bigger than ourselves. This wholistic treatment heals body, mind, and spirit all at once. It causes no harm and is a fun and joyful experience. It is all the more needed as our tendency to focus on screens disconnects us from our environment. Know anyone who could do with a screen break?!.

03.01.2022 Therapy dog Jessie!

03.01.2022 Spending time with a horse almost always brings a smile. The closeness of a nuzzle, the warm, soft body, the release of a breath are all enough to make you feel connected, but add in the antics, and you’ve got yourself a recipe for an abundance of pure joy!!! Chaya you are so funny and crack me up every day- love you so much!! I’m so glad God created horses

02.01.2022 Chaya and Alfie sitting in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G... Caught these two fraternising, look at their faces, Chaya’s gone all mooshie and Alfie looks like he’s saying, what?! What do you think?

02.01.2022 Holidays the only way I know how

02.01.2022 Nemo isn’t up to any mischief at all... no, not him!!.

01.01.2022 When you don’t really want your fly veil off but that is what it seems to be doing... Chaya can be such a clown sometimes! She undid her fly veil by accident as she was scratching on a tree, she shook her head and it sat there hanging off one ear. Then she gave me a dirty look as if to say, I’m not going to do anything while your filming me!

01.01.2022 Chaya comes over to check I’m teaching liberty correctly. She has just as much to say as I do! Thankfully she approves, though she’d much rather focus on practical than theory...

01.01.2022 Chaya's tail is long and thick which is not only beautiful, but also allows her to 'swish' the annoying flies away :-) If you were attempting to read her body language, what would you guess she is saying?

01.01.2022 There are some days when Chaya decides to take over and hijack the session! We don’t mind though. She teaches us important lessons about joy and connection. Her welcome interruptions take us out of our heads and back into our bodies. She brings balance. Does she ruin my plans? No, she makes them better!! #FacilitatorTraining #GoWithTheFlow
