24.01.2022 Ready to go under someones Christmas tree this year.. The VK. Violin AliKat. Influenced by the beatle bass Hofner, except these are my designed curves. 6 string with Whammy, celuloid Humbuckers, sounds as good as it looks, the candy paint has the holographic effect from the aluminium on the front and brushed aluminium on the rear shining through. 24.01.2022 Designed these awesome tiny little 54 caddy Bonet emblem badges, started as 3mm thick to enable a 3D machining of the V. There is even a tiny Alikat in the design. While another machine engraved and cut out two Caddy Access panels..

23.01.2022 Also for sale, due to no longer accepting guitar consignments at the mecum car auctions in the USA is this incredible movie car guitar, THE CHRISTINE BASS http:...//www.alikat.com.au/christinebass.html No expense spared on this incredible tribute guitar. The profile bases on the actual roof shape, the rear fin and sides of the car,outlined from a scaled blueprint. The amount of custom cnc design and machining on this alone would be around 40 hours easily. The detail of engraving along with the retro chrome plated edge trims and all the 22 ct gold plated parts make this beauty pop.fitted out with all Seymour Duncan pickup and pre amp wiring. The chrome plated centre fin as well as the "show me" pick up surround are just a couple of the custom designed and cut components on this prototype bass. So much money tied up in this guitar, so we had a reserve for the auction of $10,000 usd. Covering shipping and commission charges. It would of smashed that reserve price.. but i still have it here so open to offers .. in Australian dollars. Bare in mind more than twice as much work as a regular $5000 chevy guitar.. Message me any serious offers please, shipping will need to be added. And Yes I know that V8 badge is off a ford.. but i liked it.. it can easily be roved...

23.01.2022 TOTAL waste of a day.. today.. everything that could go wrong, went wrong..the aluminium rod i got to weld onto another Caddy guitar. Wont weld.. God only kn...ows what it is, probably magnesium.. total different sound when you drop the two on the bench.. anyway as not to be beat .. time to bring in the big guns Mr. LOKI.. So the Mask of Loki Alikat guitar is a one off! See more

22.01.2022 From the classic movie Alien, and with a total machining time of around 20 hours, this to date is the most intricate 3d wood carved Alikat Guitar. From Tasmanian Blackwood. Planning to make the neck fretboard and inlay work..

22.01.2022 First Ever 3d Carved Alikat project.. coming.. After hours of design, the rough cut is done , then with a tiny 2mm ball nose router bit and 4 hours of machining, it smooths the contour into shape.. awesome to watch.. I should set up a CNC cam...lol..

Thi...s quilted 1.2mm aluminium guitar is my first attempt at proper bead rolling, with the use of a few new toys, and tooling. 19.01.2022 GREEN ONE HAS SOLD. Red one still available. I have one very special prototype Alikat Chevy available for sale. These were made to go to the mecum car auctions ...in the USA. Under contract there was a reserve set to $7500 usd. That price was to cover shipping and sale commission. The idea was that the sale price would have locked in the value of these guitars. Unfortunately covid ruined all guitar consignments, and not even sure if or when that will happen again, so these are just sitting pretty with a lot of money tied up in them and also the Christine Bass. SO MAKE AN OFFER on either of them. These are a brand new design, where the top was cnc machined leaving a raised trim top and bottom. Then Influenced by the 1950s table edge trimming, i made the edge and had it chrome plated. The green is a beautiful metalic finish and the red is a chevy red. That one named the V tail, has my own design cnc machined alikat V tailpiece which was then 22ct gold plated. So if you want another alikat prototype first.. this is it, ready to go.. See more

10.01.2022 With great sadness I read that one of the finest guitarist I have ever met passed away today. I certainly didnt know him as many of the local Adelaide musician...s did, but my dream when I started making guitars was to re create that Early Scotty Moore Sound, he absolutely nailed it !! Joe "Pep" Belcaro was one of the greatest Elvis guitar players, playing every version of every song from Scotty to James Burton, if you asked for a song Joe would say what year, what show what version, he knew them all and his guitar work was in demand at Elvis tribute shows all over.. The last Ukelele I made I took to him to set up, and shed some light on the design. Here is a screen shot off the YouTube clip . His amazing Scotty Moore finger picking some years ago, made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up it was so real.. Pep was a perfectionist, during the filming he said sorry its taking me a minute or two to get a blend of 4 scotty Moore songs, I just laughed and said.. im in heaven here, please, take as long as you want.. Now he is rockin in heaven with the King,.. Thank you Charlie, for introducing me to him.

07.01.2022 Creating albums of future projects,thats all ! as getting guitars finished, and getting necks and parts from over seas currently is zilch.. but when this is all over, Ill have plenty to choose from..thats for sure..

02.01.2022 Took the Shots with the Car today. Although there are only 1000 of these $750,000 Porsche 911 GT2RS cars in the world, there is only ONE of these matching hand made Aluminium Alikat guitars. As with many of the first time prototypes. Nice to have something local I can deliver instead of the dramas im still having with sending completed guitars around the world to covid areas.. ... Massive thanks to the Boys at Southern Classics and Customs for another insane paint job. I did all the engraving but the Porsche badge alone, was hand painted.
