Note: This is part of Aboriginal culture to catch and eat these animals, if you do not agree with such things t...hats ok but please do not portray your ideals onto us as this is a way of life for us and has been for countless generations. Shaun Park teaching his son Maitland how to remove the stomach and intestines of a goanna. This is done in this way so that we do not break the seal of the animal for cooking purposes. That way all the nutrients and moisture do not get lost during cooking and so that the fat does not melt either. By cooking the goanna whole in an earth oven also allows you to keep all the moisture as a replacement for water if none is available at hand, to get your daily H2O intake! #bushtucker #Aboriginalculture #goanna
