06.01.2022 This may be a bit weird, but bear with me! Sometimes I just fall a little bit in love with my couples. I’m writing a post about it because joy seems in short supply right now. I don’t always ask why my couples are getting married, but when I do the feels come to the party! This independent, needs-no-one-else man rattled off the ways the woman next to him enhanced his life in a way he’d never experienced before, how life is better when they’re together and the value of their f...amily unit. A little crackle of magic happened as they each told me why this commitment was just what they wanted. In ways that they may never have actually articulated before. This is the goods, the honest truth of the gorgeous variation of human relationships. Not false or forced, just true from the heart to the eyes. So thanks lovers and love for that smack in the face and in the feels. Genuine human connection, nothing beats it! #celebrantlife

04.01.2022 What do you see here? The reality is a super sleep deprived, highly anxious version of myself. The sleep deprivation and anxiety got worse and became panic attacks... but if you’d asked if I was ok I would have told you yes. And that I was so lucky to have a healthy baby now we were out of hospital and could be together as a family again. Are you ok? It’s not really a year where the answer is likely to be yes, in most cases. Let’s be kind and understanding, listen and respond with care and encouragement.
