24.01.2022 What's not to love about Junior MasterChef tonight!?!! Fabulous cooking and stunning Chinese embroidery blown up printed on their tasting table (not to mention Jock...)

21.01.2022 I forgot to post yesterday what I've been up to the last couple of evenings! It's not very exciting - and not Stumpwork or Goldwork - hopefully I'll finish them tonight and post a completed photo tomorrow...

19.01.2022 Steve was going to mow yesterday - and I wasn't sure where, so I raced out to get some more wildflower photos before they had their heads cut off! The grass on the block was getting too long with fire season around the corner - the poor kangaroos couldn't keep up with it!!!
17.01.2022 Yesterday afternoon Steve and I were stomping around the block in the light rain - having a look at what wildflowers are out in the back of the block and what our white faced heron family are up to. Lots of lovely flowers (not yet identified) and the heron has built a much better nest this year - she's still sitting and we keep seeing her man bringing in food for her. The nest is the dark mass at the end of the left fork in the photo (almost dead centre of photo)
15.01.2022 I made a start on the base embroidery of the new wildflower design - this one is going to take a little while...
12.01.2022 We are thrilled to be able to let everyone know that the parcel of threads that we have been waiting on has finally arrived. If you are waiting on your order of Roses and Old Lace or Raspberry Treasure Butterfly you won't have to wait much longer! We are packing them all up right now!
12.01.2022 Anyone for prawn/shrimp canapes?! While completely textile, they are inspired by a canape that I make - small round of bread on the bottom, piped anchovy cream, then a cooked prawn/shrimp and a sprig of fennel. These are for the exhibition 'Jubilation | Diamonds and Pearls' at The Johnston Collection opening December 1st which is being presented by The Embroiderers Guild, Victoria, Australia. Bookings are open now at johnstoncollection.org
