12.01.2022 While in Africa, it is possible to be a part of some incredible sightings. One day we witnessed a herd of elephants going crazy. There was about 30 of them. Some playing in the dam, some running around chasing each other, some mock charging us. But in amongst it, so much beauty could be found. Young life could be found. And this little fellow captured my eye. Chasing his mother's tail, I managed to snap this one of him. 09.01.2022 Juvenile Bateleur. One of the more common raptors in South Africa. The bateleur can hunt things as large as a small antelope! They mate for life and usually have the same nest for several years. Stunning eagles that are brown when juvenile but get black feathers and a red beak in the maturity. 01.01.2022 Just spent the last few (maybe more) hours baking. Has been therapeutic to say the least but we shall see if people like them. Pictured is one of my creations...
