Im intrigued but also worried. Chris: You need a turtleneck, your glasses, and a side pony. Meet my new Pfaff machine! Its less than a week old to me, and Im LOVING it. I just completed my first garment using it, which is the #peppermintpocketskirt Im wearing in this photo. I was previously sewing on a mechanical Kenmore that I purchased new from sears in the year 2000. You can see it a couple of days ago on my grid. I also did a sewing room tour in my stories and mentioned that I really wanted to upgrade my machine for my birthday back in August. Basically, I had been saving for months, and after lots of research and feedback from the community, I decided on the Pfaff ambition 620 (Im kind of insane about research and big purchases because Im frugal and I cant stand the idea of spending money on something that isnt going to last me a lifetime, or at least several decades). Long story short, the pandemic has created lots of new sewists and the machine I wanted was not available until October (almost two months away). I got a phone call literally an hour after the sewing room tour and was told a used model had just come in. I havent moved that fast in a while... and here we are less than a week later taking photos together. Besties. See more

17.01.2022 Hello Sewing Friends! Many of you know our very dear friend and textile artist Diane Ericson Design who lived and worked nearby us in Ashland, Oregon. We are sa...d to report that Diane lost everything in the fire that ravaged the Rogue Valley last week. Her entire home, design studio and lifes work literally went up in smoke and was reduced to ash. Having also just lost her husband to cancer, Diane is in a particularly perilous situation. So our sewing community has come together and set up a GoFundMe campaign to help raise sufficient funds for Diane to begin the long process of rebuilding her life.
