19.01.2022 Man it's pretty embarrassing that Australia is trailing behind other developed countries in STEAM education. But embarrassment aside, if things don’t pick up then it’s going to become pretty #devs for our economic future because STEAM based skills is the biggest driver of our economic growth. "My biggest concern is that Australia is going to be left behind because other countries don't have that negative attitude to maths and they're going to have the data analysis and technical skills for the future." https://www.smh.com.au//hsc-students-abandoning-high-level

10.01.2022 Time and again, we hear our students say JUST that. Sound crazy? When you learn to love maths and the way it works, you go further than you thought possible An exam as an opportunity to take on and defeat a challenge: because you have the skills and confidence to do it ... These results speak for themselves: https://aljabr.com.au/classes/

09.01.2022 We love the way maths see no colour. It doesn't care about your race or religion. But our society does. Our society and our leaders continue pander to racist and vile language about immigrants and outsiders. And now its emboldened those filled with hate. We're horrified by senseless terror, but we can't be surprised. We're living in a society where racism has political currency.... Let's end Racism. It has no place in our societies. This poem is called To Kill a Kiwi. It's written by Rayanne Hussain, an old student of Raghib.

04.01.2022 GG. One of Raghib's student and their family was tested positive. We hope the student has a speedy recovery! We at Al Jabr have no qualms with doing what's right. Deep cleaning, self iso, online classes and all the usual 2020 tings. But please. We'd all rather cop a couple weeks now than become the next Victoria later.... Follow the health advice. Get tested. Self isolate. Stay healthy and keep our community safe.

02.01.2022 Yeah it sucks HSC can easily be one of the most stressful experiences of a young adult’s life. But this whyyyy it’s SO important for them to have the right support, guidance and mentoring If you’re smart, then this is the FIRST thing you will take care Students can feel academic pressure when the perceived level of expectation or consequence exceeds what they believe they can achieve. This can lead to stress and altered learning behaviours. Even worse, it can make the smartest students do poorly on their exams. https://theconversation.com/study-confirms-hsc-exams-source

02.01.2022 Today everyone be acting like they have a PHD in HSC Scaling-ology lmao It’s too hard to not have an opinion it seems... Check out this article for some REAL truth with added insight surrounding the topic of HSC scaling! Imagine that the HSC introduces a new course, Rocket Science, for the first time and only five students study it. The scaling outcome will be very different if the five students perform exceptionally well in all of their other subjects comp...ared with mediocre performances in their other subjects, irrespective of the perception of the difficulty of Rocket Science. https://www.actuaries.digital//11/30/analysis-of-hsc-scal/ (edited)

02.01.2022 This is delusional advice Just because ATAR didn’t mean much for one person, it does not mean it will play out like that for everybody Just because the HSC is a stressful and difficult experience, it does not mean it is something worth neglecting We admit, it’s not ideal, but it is reality Instead of deluding ourselves about the HSC, we need to do all that we can to arm yourself with the best resources, teachers, mentors and support I get it this is your entire world right now. Telling someone that absolutely everything they’re working towards is unimportant or irrelevant is just discouraging. But my ATAR meant jack in the end. And at the end of the day, just because you didn't get your dream HSC result doesn't mean your passions automatically disappear. https://sydney.edu.au//hsc-advice-from-a-uni-poster-girl.h
