25.01.2022 On Friday a selection of Secondary students competed in the Interschool Athletics Carnival. All students should be proud of their efforts and a big congratulations to the three students below who were awarded Champion in their year division.

Hetty is a holocaust survivor and she shared some of her experiences of when Germany occupied the Netherlands in 1940. It has been a wonderful week engaging with numbers, functions, problem solving, probability and having alot of fun along the way. It began with participating in a Numero Competition, World of Maths Incursion, a very intense Times Table Bee and finally a Year 6 Chance and Data Fair. Thankyou to Mr Stravens for your enthusiasm and hardwork in providing all these wonderful weeks.

17.01.2022 Our Primary College students have participated in HASS week. It has been a wonderful week engaging with cultures & history and having alot of fun along the way. It began with participating in an Indigenous Incursion, flag bingo, the Year 4/5 class presentating the Living Wax Museum, learning about a cultural sport and finally cultural understanding art with Mrs Butler. 15.01.2022 Its been a great but different week at Alkimos Baptist College with some students at school and some students at home but all students actively engaged in learning. Today is the last day of lessons for the Term 1, with the College open for supervision only next week, as staff prepare for more online content for Term 2.

15.01.2022 That is a wrap on Literacy Week ! An amazing week showcasing the wonder and joy of Literacy. The students participated in a variety of activities including creating poems, Book Dress Up Day, our annual Spelling Bee, the 2020 Great Debate and creating cartoons lead by Kaboom Toons. We are introducing weekly competitions so that our students and families can feel connected and have some fun as we are currently apart. HOW TO ENTER: Students in both Primary and High School can upload their entries to S://submit/challengers. The winner of this weeks competition will be announced on Facebook next Wednesday the 8th of April. You can try as many times as you like t...hroughout the week but please only upload your best photo! This weeks challenge is to create THE TALLEST CARD TOWER. 03.01.2022 Congratulations to our two head students Tiana Arrigoni and Caitlin Olley on their early acceptance into Tertiary Education. Tiana has been accepted into a double degree of Criminology and Forensic Toxicology at Murdoch University, while Caitlin has been accepted into Biomedical Science at UWA. We thank them for leading our student body and we wish them the best for the rest of this year and into their bright futures.

02.01.2022 Our Year 11 Marine and Maritime Studies students have had a great week earning their recreational divers certificate. After a week of theory, this week has been a week of practical, including a trip to Rottnest Island today. We are pleased to be having 3 classes of Marine and Maritime Studies next year across Year 11 and 12 at the general and ATAR level.
