25.01.2022 NEW YANCHEP RAIL STATION DESIGNS Today I can reveal the latest station designs for Alkimos, Eglinton and Yanchep Stations. The designs include details of the ...new stations which take into account the needs of rail passengers, as well as integrating with the planned future precincts. The Alkimos Station design is particularly noteworthy for its integration into the future Alkimos Central Precinct. The design details a cut and cover construction technique and includes parking facilities, bus interchanges, passenger amenities and cycling facilities to cater for patrons. Throughout the design process, the YRE team will continue to seek input from key stakeholders. The Yanchep Rail Extension will deliver the last proposed section of the Joondalup Line from Butler, 14.5km north to Yanchep to help support ongoing growth in the area and reduce congestion. The project will support about 1,370 jobs.
