While the recent rain is fantastic, it can also cause the sand on your horse arena to wash to one side if the arena base has not been constructed properly with the correct level. We completed the bulk earthworks before Christmas to allow the fill to settle. After the settling period, we then supplied and installed all materials to complete the arena surface. ... Here is some photos of a recent job we completed at Ocean View. With the silt removed from the existing dam, we then enlarged it and created a second dam in the next gully over. 12.01.2022 Another silt free dam after years of build up. This job included removing all the silt from the dam, repairing the dam wall to stop it leaking and installation of new drainage pipes in the spill way to handle the water flow.

12.01.2022 A safety reminder to check the edges of your horse arena that may be covered in long grass. We recently conducted repairs to this arena that had drainage issues and caused dangerous wash outs under the sleeper edge. We started off by stripping back the surface to expose the damage. We then filled the wash outs with large rock to prevent any further damage. ... We also replaced the timber sleepers and installed new geo fabric. After a quick level off of the arena surface the client was very happy and could use their arena again. Here are some jobs we recently completed using a 13T excavator alongside with our 5t combo. Firstly for something different, we removed a dam wall that wasnt built correctly and failed to hold water. In this case the client opted to remove the dam wall, which allowed for more pastures and room for a future shed pad. ... Secondly we constructed a level area for a fire pit and additional yard space on some very steep and rocky terrain. We then re installed the existing sandstone retaining wall and followed through with additional sandstone blocks around the new yard area. For those larger job where access is difficult and you may have a sealed driveway that a steel track machine will damage, we can offer a 13T excavator with rubber pads and a variety of attachments. 11.01.2022 Weve had a busy couple of weeks with a variety of jobs. Below are just a few of the jobs we completed. Firstly, we completed a sandstone retaining wall alongside a horse arena to help solve drainage issues and retain the bank. With new sand booked in to finish off the project in the coming weeks, this refurbished arena is going to looks fantastic. We then had some fun building another motor cross track for a couple of lucky kids. This track was created using material left o...ver from a dam clean out last year, we will also be removing all left over material from site. This was a fantastic idea while the kids are home. Another project we recently completed was a topsoil/grass horse arena. We cut and filled the arena base and then supplied and laser levelled a topsoil/sand mix ready for growing grass and perfect riding conditions. 10.01.2022 After a week of rain we are straight back into work while the sun is out. We are supplying and installing recycled road profilings on a local driveway. Keep a eye out for the before and after photos when the job is all done.

10.01.2022 A really good read for people with dams on their properties. Sometimes dry dams can be a lot more dangerous then just having no water. Years of silt and sediment that build up in dams can be a real issue for your livestock and wildlife. With water levels so low and in same cases dams running dry, this can expose the thick levels of mud. ... With a recent animal burial in the local area due to the animal getting stuck in the mud, we cannot stress enough why its important to clean out your dry dams. A clean dam is also is a huge benefit when the rain comes and you will have a lot more water capacity. 04.01.2022 Although we are very grateful for the much needed rain, it can also cause a lot of damage to driveways. We repaired and resurfaced this driveway today by bringing in fill to reshape the driveway to divert water from running down the centre of the road. Our 5T excavator with the stick rake and hydraulic grab make quick work removing lantana and small regrowth. We can also offer green waste removal from site to save the hassle of burning off piles. 01.01.2022 In addition to our our wide range of earthmoving services that we offer, we can also offer services to manage your over grown vegetation areas. Here are some projects we recently completed in the Dayboro and Samford areas using a flail mower and slasher. These jobs included mulching along steep road edges, along dam/creek banks, clearing of lantana and re growth and slashing/mulching. We can offer our excavator with the flail mower attachment for those hard to reach places ...that are overgrown with lantana and other noxious weeds.
